I've been meaning to try their chicken sandwiches as I've heard great reviews. The place is small but the service was fast. We tried their poutine, the OMG and TKO chicken sandwiches. The OMG and TKO chicken sandwiches were packed with flavour. The chicken was juicy and the sauce was the perfect amount. It wasn't drenched in sauce which I liked since it didn't result in the bread being soggy. The TKO chicken sandwich is spicy so beware. Their poutine is great as well. You can really tell that their fries are fresh and hand-cut.

This is truly the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. We tried the uppercut the TKO and the OMG and we're all super impressed but the law options and sauces were credible and chef Gomez is single-handedly frying. The best chicken in Canada. I was truly impressed by the bun and quality of the crunch and moistness of the chicken breast in the sandwiches while it is $15 a sandwich I can't recommend the chicken enough. Fries are alright, looking forward to trying rings

I won a family meal on The Chicken Cartel's IG page and the sandwiches were AMAZING!!! I received 2 sandwiches, 2 wraps, coleslaw, corn and drinks. Here's the breakdown: T.K.O. - my fav of the 4, consists of a super crunchy and HUGE chicken breast, chili oil, sweet and spicy pickles and coleslaw on a sesame bun. I was already late for my pickup, then I had another 20m drive to get home, and still, the chicken was crispy and the bun was not soggy. Delicious! Uppercut - it's pretty much the same as the TKO, except the slaw was different. I found this burger spicier than the TKO. Smokie - this is a roti with jerk chicken, grilled pineapple and coleslaw. I think there is supposed to be plantain as well, but I couldn't taste it. I found the roti a bit soggy, but it could be that I was late for my pickup and didn't eat it right away. The jerk chicken has a bit of a kick to it. Chiika - this was my least favourite out of the four. The roti has chicken tikka, papaya, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, pickled onion and chickpea. It was difficult to make out each of the individual ingredients as all the flavours were mixed together. I liked the flavours, but my more conservative parents who are not accustomed to Mexican spices and Indian flavours found it less enjoyable. The sides were delicious as well - the jungle slaw was refreshing with its vinegrette and the captain maize was scrumptious with chipotle mayo, cotija cheese, pumpkin seed and cilantro. As this was a popup kitchen (they were using the kitchen inside a banquet hall), there wasn't even a counter for pick up, the chef brought the food directly for my car. Donnie was friendly and provided service with a smile. As of writing this review, the kitchen is closed. But things are in the works and I sure hope Donnie is able to find a permanent kitchen for The Chicken Cartel! Until then, I'll be dreaming about the chicken sandwiches....

I heard about this chicken place through TikTok posts. People were raving about it so I thought I better go have a look. I bought the OMG burger and I'll tell you what it was absolutely delicious. Reasonably fast but the food is so good highly recommend five stars all day long.

Now that was something special. That citrus mayo is amazing. It's been a while since I've seen something original in a chicken sandwich. I can't wait to try the other menu items

Hello foodies today I bring you another amazing review for all you chicken sandwich fans out there this pop up shop should be a must on your foodie bucket list to try. The Chicken Cartel   has really been hyped allot on Instagram and Tik tok and if you haven't seen their videos yet and they haven't gotten you rushing down there. Then I assure you that when you do!  You will and should go down to this place and grab one of their fabulous chicken sandwiches. The chicken Cartel makes these amazing unique chicken sandwiches with flavors from around the world like nothing that you typically find around town. They have a series of regular sandwiches on the menu but come out with new variations every month for a limited time. Food 5/5 ....These guys hit it right out of the park and landed in the other park!  That's how good their sandwiches really are....Fire foodies!!!! I have tried two of their other sandwiches the T.K.O  and the O.M.G chicken sandwiches and they were both 5/5 perfect in everyway .  However today my review is for their showcase sandwich  of this month the "SMOKIE"  for $15.05 plus tax and worth every cent of that this sandwich was absolutely one of the better chicken sandwiches I have had and I have had  many.  This is how they describe this master piece of a sandwich. Fist let's start by saying it's a Caribbean jerk twist to this thing. Think how good this sounds krispy fried chicken thick tender breast drenched in a jerk chimichurri sauce, with grilled  pineapple on top , a  tangy cold slaw , with a scallion mayo and pepper sauce to add that heat. In a nice bun.   Guys and gals I could of finished two of these it was so good .  Service 5/5 top notch service from the owners/operators, super friendly every time I have been  there. This place is mainly for take out , they do have one table inside  with a picnic table outside for those that prefer the fresh air vibe. Don't let this place  fool you they operate out of a chip trailer but the food tastes like a five star hotel , you can feel the love and  passion behind every sandwich they make with so much care and perfection into every one...This  is a must try and you really have to get down there and support these guys they have the best twist on the chicken sandwich in town .

There's a new 'CLUCK' cartel in town, so you better check it out! It's FRY DAY and, this means it's feeding time! I love food experiments, especially when it's playing around with flavours and chicken, so this is why I want to introduce you to @thechickencartel_to today. These folks took the simplest form of chicken recipes and turned it into a fusion masterpiece. If I have to define them in 1 word, it would be "Bellissimo. Their flavours are authentic, vibrant and will refresh your taste buds. So what did I get to try from their Slayer selections? T.K.O - As the name says, get ready to knock yourself out with this monstrous burger w/ two extra Krispy fried chicken breasts, chilli oil, sweet n spicy pickles, slaw, yellow mayo in a sesame bun. This burger is bigger, badass, and a smokin' version of Chicken En Buns. SMOKING BARREL WRAP - For all the jerk chicken lovers, it's the stuffed roti holding together the big flavours of spicy jerk chicken, grilled pineapple, creamy cool-down slaw, sweet potato pepper sauce, scallion mayo and plantains. BOSSMAN CHUNK: If you love your chicken sweet and, tangy then it's time to BOSS up your tender chicken game. It comes with a one-pound of Krispy battered boneless chunky chicken breast tossed in Hot Honey with Sesame seed or a Tamarind BBQ with crushed peanuts Citrus Mayo for dipping. If you're looking to diversify your taste buds this weekend, then this is your sign to sign up for this cartel.

Tasty, tasty, tasty! Like a giant chicken ball with an Asian persuasion!

The Chicken Cartel can kidnap and interrogate my taste buds anyday! Is there some sort of special ingredient? I'm already seriously jonesing for more! That's some good shit!

This place feels like the kind of thing you would have seen Anthony Bourdain go to. It's in an unexpected location, a humble-looking trailer, and they are slinging the best chicken sandwiches you will ever taste. I recommend the TKO or the Uppercut. Shout out to Chef Donny and Kristen!

The meal was accompanied by a rice/cabbage portion which was "to die for". All I have to say is that I could not stop savouring the amazing flavours of everything. The grandmother who prepares much of the food gave me a sample of ackee, a Jamaican fruit along with some luscious mixture of cod, along with a nice portion of bread fruit! Accompanying me were friends from Nova Scotia, one being a lady friend who was born in Jamaica. She had only excellent things to say about the meal. The interior of the restaurant was minimalistic, but very tastefully decorated with some neon lights, giving it a very cozy but high-tech ambience. In the future, I would like to try the chicken in brown sauce, which is pulled chicken simmered for hours in a brown sauce, imparting a very savoury flavor. I had the opportunity to try the pulled chicken from the plate of one of my friends, and was very , highly impressed. As I said before, I really couldn't stop eating a lot of the food once I started. That doesn't always happen in many places where I dying. I definitely will be coming back to this wonderful restaurant, and enjoyed the very warm greeting and conversation that I received from the proprietors. The prices were very reasonable, and I definitely will be a regular! Don't miss this newcomer to the St Catharines restaurant scene!

I'd never experienced anything like Saha in the past (the closest thing would be Urban Acorn Catering) but what Chef Khalil does with Saha is run a pop up restaurant at his own place in Hamilton that serves up a top of the line Middle Eastern Tasting Menu that he makes and plays host along with his lovely wife. We had a 5 course tasting menu, but with Chef Khalil being so fantastic, we ended up with a total of 9 wonderful courses (10 if you count the Arabic coffee to finish). Left feeling very full and just blown away at this delicious and wonderfully intimate experience. I won't go in to very detailed descriptions of the courses, but in all honesty every single one was a highlight, it was very difficult to pick a favourite, for me it was probably the Halibut, with Arabian tapenade that also had crispy chicken skin, I don't think I've ever had a fish dish topped with chicken and it was amazing! The feast for the eyes was definitely his dessert, a pomegranate mouse surrounded by cardamom meringues! Those 2 dishes looked amazing but tasted even better!! Red meat is my least favourite thing to eat, so I appreciated the rib of lamb not being massive, and appreciated it even more that it was a medium rare delight! What really made this evening special was the ambiance that Chef Khalil and his wife sets in their living room, a small intimate space perfect for a romantic night with a nice tall table candle and Arabic music to go with it. Throughout the evening chef would keep checking on us to make sure everything was going great, and talk about the dish we were about to have. He makes everything in house, which really blew me away, considering it was just for 2 of us and he makes such a large variety of dishes! It is BYOW, and I'm glad I messaged him beforehand to ask for his recommendation for what type of wine to bring along, since even my clumsy selection of wine worked out great thanks to his suggestion. While I found Saha through Airbnb I would recommend people just go to it via his regular website to get more info and make reservations too (cheaper than Airbnb).Chef Khalil hopes to open Saha as an intimate restaurant in Toronto next year, and I don't think there is anyone else doing a middle eastern tasting menu, but even compared to the tasting menus of O&B and the momofuku's in the world, Saha truly holds up, and I can't recommend this pop up version enough, especially for the price of close to $100/person (or less if you opt for fewer courses) it's truly a steal! I wish him and his wife the best moving forward!

Let me start with pros: it was a neat experience, our server was very friendly, we were with great company and overall had fun together. (We will have fun no matter what!). The concept was a great idea. The only good food was the chocolate mousse dessert! Now the cons: it was WAY overpriced for the experience. People say "you pay for the experience" bull crap! Not only do you purchase tickets in advance for food and reservation, when you go that price does not include drinks or the service charge. Additionally for the price we paid, the food was down right gross. 1. It took us 45 minutes to get a drink. 2. We were over an hour and half in before we got food 2. The rolls they served I'm pretty sure were Hawaiian Rolls with a side of garlic butter 3. The soup, I don't know what the hell was in it but by the time we got it, it was cold and I couldn't even, it it GROSS. 4. You get a choice of beef chicken and we got one of each. The chicken was so salty and insanely dry I could not eat it. The beef was supposed to be short rib, it was pot roast. 5. You had to take a golf cart to get to the restrooms. In the end they bring you a final check we knew would be a service fee and drink charges. I about hit the floor. For what they charged for drinks I could nicely stock a small bar. Beware of "death by fees". We were charged a fee to rent the dome, a service fee, a credit card fee, a processing fee when we prepaid for the dinner AND and another service fee on the final check which by the way was over the entire bill including the prepaid portion. (In which we already paid a fee) In the end the price for 6 people cost more than an all day trip to Epcot at Disney and would have got better food and drinks there. Anywho for anyone thinking of trying this out I highly recommend you don't. SAVE your money and take your friends or significant other somewhere else !!

We did order the cheapest bottle, but not an excuse by any means. Prior to the dinner, I tried out their pre-mixed negroni cocktail, and while it was a decent negroni, again the cost associated with it was too over blown. I can have a (better) cocktail at some of Toronto's nicest restaurants for cheaper! I think the event gets caught up in grabbing headlines, with a celebrity chef, none of that matters if the food is below par. I got the fish and it came with tiny bones a plenty too. As I've mentioned above, full marks for the idea, beautiful deco, great service but lacking in the food and drinks department. We did attend on their first week when temperatures were still cold, so warmer temps might have made this experience better with our food and wine not being so cool on arrival.

The interior is very cute here - the menu is handwritten on a chalkboard and they have stuffed animals on sale at the side. We came here at around 30 minutes before closing time so unfortunately we were only able to get takeout. There was plenty of available seating though and the restaurant was clean and tidy. We decided to order the cold noodles (liang pi) and the yo po noodles which came up to a total of $16. You get to play rock paper scissors with the cashier, and if you win you get 5% off your order. Portions were huge for the price and the food smelled so good! The noodles itself were quite chewy and carried the sauce well. I think both dishes were a tad too oily though, and it also tasted more sour than spicy. I probably won't order these dishes again, but I noticed they serve other interesting dishes on their menu like peking duck pork wraps and pork patties - I might just give it another try when I'm in the area!

Talk about quality! For a 3-month period this summer, Good Behaviour has opened a food cart on 2023-06-30, facing Harbourfront's Queen's Quay West, between Queen's Quay Terminal and Harbourfront Centre. Amazing location for foot traffic. We ordered the following: 1. Cookies & Cream (1 scoop). 2. Dragon Poop (1 scoop). I definitely had to try a flavour called Dragon Poop. It is a combination of banana, strawberry, and blue vanilla. And it tasted good! They are sharing the space with Creative Arts Collective, which sells alcoholic and some non-alcoholic drinks. There is a large outdoor patio that is roped off, presumably because of the liquor license. In the patio, there are about 4 games, like Janga and Bean Bag Toss. The ice cream freezers were working overtime in the extreme hot weather we've been getting. Many of their flavours were sold out. There is no free WiFi. The food cart is wheelchair accessible. There are no washrooms, but you can use the washrooms in the 2 large buildings to either side of them. There are paid parking lots, costing $6/30 mins or $30 max. Review 2023-218
