It is a small, in-home preschool, that has a maximum of 10 students (~6 more recently), and the teacher, Ms. Yvette, pours into these kids so that they are proud and excited learners and are able to do so much more than you ever imagined a 4 year old could do! When looking for a preschool we wanted a place where we felt our child would be safe, with attentive teachers, not sat in front of a screen all day, he was treated well, and he would learn important socialization skills and basics to ensure that they were ready for kindergarten. Growstrong EASILY checks those boxes and goes far beyond. Our 2nd child will graduate from Growstrong in the fall. Between the two of them we have kids who were reading at a 2nd grade level or higher, adding, subtracting, multiplying, doing word problems, playing chess, reciting the "I Have A Dream" speech and excerpts from King's other works as well as poems by authors like Robert Frost, and doing so much more by the time they leave preschool. And through their entire time there they were treated like family by Ms Yvette--a woman who I have never seen even raise her voice at any of these children despite how crazy they may have been acting--given healthy home cooked meals daily, and respected like real little humans with feelings and independent thoughts. It says a lot that out of my son's class of 5 students, 4 of them are siblings to children who graduated or currently go there. I have also grown to be friends with many of the parents of the children who have attended because we are all similarly invested in our kids and their future and value what Growstrong provides. And all of the kids have always been incredibly sweet. With so many difficult decisions as a parent, selecting Growstrong was easily one of the best ones we have ever made.

I am overjoyed to say that this school is amazing. The director, Ms. Reed, greets you every day with a warm welcome and is very attentive with all of my needs and concerns as a parent. I cannot express how much Ms.Reed has made me feel at ease to have my child attending school. My child gets excited whenever Ms.Reed or Ms.Jordan are there to greet her in the mornings because they show the greatest amounts of love to her. Even in the mornings when my daughter is moody, I feel 10x better seeing them there because I know they will comfort her. The school goes up to Kindergarten and every teacher that works there, I know without a doubt, will have my child's best interest. Her teacher at the moment is Ms. Webster, she has wholeheartedly made me an even prouder mother by teaching my 3 year old how to count to 100, read, and write! My daughter is excelling tremendously in her academics all whilst having fun. Ms.Webster knows my child like the back of her hand and shows great attention to detail with my daughters likes and dislikes. However, I also noticed that the energy changed, particularly when she stopped speaking to or acknowledging my child. His doctor once explained to me that children are more likely to participate, engage, and be attentive when they feel comfortable and safe with their teacher. Looking back, I believe that may have been part of why my son didn't really connect in that classroom, while he has completely THRIVED with other teachers. As a parent, I truly believe in listening to your child while also observing the adults who are caring for them. I pay attention to how staff interact with my child, how they communicate with the children, and how they treat other children when they think parents aren't watching. It's important to me to know that anyone caring for my son is patient, respectful, nurturing, and genuinely engaged. And I also Try to attend majority of the field trips. Overall, I am extremely grateful for the positive experience my son has had in Mrs. Draper's classroom. The difference in his happiness and development speaks volumes. From amazing activities like sports and cooking and yoga and martial arts and dance to a real snow day on campus, the kids are exposed to so many awesome things! I wished I could go there as an adult, the kids have so much fun! The communication is perfect - I got so many updates and pictures and felt like I could talk to teachers and admin for ANYTHING at ANY TIME. They are also UNBELIEVABLE when it comes to protecting kids with food allergies -- and not just because its a nut-free campus (which is amazing). I was NEVER worried about my daughter's severe egg allergy. I'd get photos asking if certain foods were safe, and if they weren't, we'd know to send in a substitute. The impact of the amazing leadership of Ms. Jessica and Ms. Maya was palpable in how beautifully the school is run. They were also so incredibly helpful and supportive of us when we needed support with an on-site IEP evaluation and referrals to future schools (as we were moving out of state). One of the worst things of us having to move was having to leave Young Minds and not giving our daughter one more year of that most spectacular place.
