Id estimate over 85% of the lockers are rented out. Finding an "open locker to put your stuff in while you exercise is often a problem. The locker area is "clean enough" but not really clean. [Update on May 2, 2025]: After I submitted a formal complaint via email, I received a call from the gym using a No Caller ID number. The caller used a harsh and dismissive tone, told me to stop mentioning "BBB" and "NH Consumer Protection Bureau," and refused to let me record the call. The executive assistant Amy yelled at me 'I've worked with them many times. I know how to deal with them,' . When I tried to speak, they repeatedly cut me off. They also accused me of "inappropriate behavior" without specifying what I allegedly did, the caller also referred to a previously explained and resolved late daycare pick-up days ago, trying to divert attention about what happened on May 1st, using language that I perceived as an attempt to intimidate me as a mother. As a parent, I found this extremely distressing and inappropriate. I was repeatedly interrupted, dismissed, and accused of 'immoral behavior' with no specifics provided. The tone was aggressive, humiliating, and clearly intended to intimidate. I was not allowed to speak, and any attempt to clarify my position was shut down. I find this behavior not only unprofessional but intimidating and coercive, especially toward a mother trying to speak up. I caution anyone considering doing business with this gym, particularly if you expect respectful, fair treatment. --- I had an extremely upsetting and humiliating experience with Workout Club Londonderry. I was verbally threatened by a male staff member, Jaleen, who walked out from behind the counter, stood in front of me, and shouted, "Shut up or I'll throw you out," in an intimidating and aggressive manner. This happened after I calmly tried to explain a concern. I had been charged for April personal training and Kids' Korner services I didn't use, after my child had a medical emergency. Earlier, my previous PT McKayley had told me medical emergencies could be exceptions, but later I was told due to 24hrs policy it has to be charge, even if I showed her texts before and her didn't show up due to her illness before, Jaleen stated "i don't have an obligation to explain the contract to you." by keep interrupting me, then walked out from the counter in front of me, looking down at me with the teaming words in the first paragraph, trying to intimidate me. What made it worse was Mandy, who had earlier refused to let me cancel my training--but then unilaterally canceled everything in front of others, asking me to call PD and school for note (I did), arguing with me with dates (I then found all records were different than she stated), calling Jallan to threaten, then the end saying "i suggest you leave now with dignity, otherwise I cannot make sure what will happen. I will contact to cancel your membership, also cancel your kids corner, because we don't want you here, bye." I have requested camera footage to prove that I remained calm and respectful, and that the aggression came from staff. Despite all this, they refused to refund me the May membership with kids corner new PT sessions, or acknowledge any wrongdoing with apology. I was a member of the Workout Club for 20 years since moving to Londonderry. Recently, my automatic payment was declined after my debit card was compromised. I called the club and was informed that my account had been sent to collections. I promptly called collections and paid the higher amount due without any argument. When I followed up with the club, I was told my account was all set. However, when I visited today, the new General Manager, Harris, informed me that my account had been closed and that the agreement I had was no longer available. When I expressed that I didn't believe there should be a rate increase, he responded dismissively, saying "okay, forget it," and walked away. Due to this interaction and the attitude I received, I've decided to sign up with Planet Fitness this week. There was no reason for the GM to treat me with such disrespect over a rate discussion. read more

I have been a member of Workout Club for a little over a year now. 15mos to be exact. In that time, I can say that I have definitely enjoyed being a member. The value for the total cost is better than other gyms in the area. I feel that is true regardless of your fitness level, prior exercise knowledge, or health-related goals. The spacious, open weight area really has a great variety of equipment for all needs and focuses. There is a dedicated cardio area separated from the weight space. That separation is excellent for many reasons. There is also a dedicated space for a wide variety of group classes, a functional fitness zone, a large multi-purpose aquatics space, and a sauna in each locker room. For those who are amateur or professional fitness enthusiasts, there is also a dedicated posing room. Most importantly, the club is always clean and inviting for all patrons. The club and community foster a space for inclusion and diversity. I will continue to be a proud member of the Workout Club for years to come. read more

I've always enjoyed bringing my daughter here because of the amazing and trustworthy person running the kids' corner Valerie- Since her position was terminated, I've been struggling to understand the reasoning behind that decision. I pay an extra $20 a month for my daughter to be able to attend, so I'm honestly shocked that, as a result of the termination, the kids' center has been shut down for a few days. Everyone adored Valerie and Madison, and I believe this move by management is a poor one. read more

I borrowed this gym while visiting New England, and had nothing but pleasant experiences. I joined through my health insurance, then had to register with the GM at Workout Club. Staff was very helpful in getting me settled in. Judging by review photos this location received a serious makeover before I joined. I had no issues with esthetics, functionality nor cleanliness. The women's locker room was surprisingly elegant. During weekdays the gym wasn't crowded. I didn't take advantage of everything this club has to offer, like multiple pools and hot tubs, sauna, classes and a smoothie bar. I frequented cardio, machines, and women's only workout room. Some of the weights and equipment needed updating but overall I was able to stick to my routine. In effort to stop the spread of covid-19, Workout Club provided spray bottles for guests to carry throughout the gym. I loved this option since I clean everything before and after using. More paper towel dispensers would've been convenient. They also posted many signs reminding to social distance. I will most likely rejoin upon my next stay up north! read more

I was in the pool this morning but did not speak to the GM or anyone else other than to ask a young associate at reception if the pool was expected to be warm on Friday. Literally the hot tub is down more than functional. It is either dirty cloudy or cold. They don't seem to understand that blowing air through the water makes to water cold so when no one is in the tub the air should be off . Less stress on the heater. When they have it working they keep it below 98 which is not therapeutic for heat therapy. Boiler not working So the pool and therapy pool is cold . Whole swim team going to Salem now which is an extra drive for those of us from Manchester and north. The shower stall shown in the picture from another persons review has been broken for months. Half The soap dispensers on this past Sunday in the shower stalls were empty. This is often the case. All showers being used so the broken one would be helpful 3 or 4 doors on lockers broken for months. Never seen them all working. The corner of the stalls are caked with dirt Management needs to be changed. Gym equipment and instructors are good but expensive and inflexible. read more

I have been a member here for nearly a decade and as seen in my earlier review, loved this gym for a very long time. Under their new management I can no longer recommend this gym. During COVID and being auto-compromised I called up nearly every month to ensure my membership was in good standing and there were no concerns or issues with my membership while I was not able to attend. I did not even ask to have my account put on hold and continued to pay the monthly membership fee. I then got notified in the mail that my account was sent to collections and has hit my credit. I reached out to the General Manager Brendon and asked for clarification on why this information was never shared with me when I would call. There was no response. It is very sad to cancel my membership after so many years but given COVID and the number of options of gyms to choose from. Go somewhere else. The Work Out Club no longer seems to care about their members. read more

Had an employee there follow me into the locker room and watch me urinate and wash my hands talking to me while I had my ear buds in to tell me my tag didn't scan properly. Utter lack of respect by this employee. And he is considered part of management. These types of games do not tolerate and I was a very longtime member. We have been going to the Londonderry,NH workout club. It's only been about a year. The pool has been shut down three times so far and then you get a sign when you walk in and tells you no free swim due to an activity. Then the WIFI has been shut down numerous times. Machines have signs on then that they can't be used and are going to be fixed. You get no help from some of the staff there. You have a girl that stands by the juice bar talking to the boys and ignores you when you stand by the register waiting. When you ask about something being down or closed you get "sorry" that's it! Since we joined there seems to be a lot of issues. There is no one you can speak to higher up then these people that work there I would love to send a letter to corporate! It's very frustrating when you pay every month and half the equipment or services are shut down! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. When you decide to cancel, they will go ahead and charge you for another year. They will do so very quietly. Because they don't send a bill or any kind of communication, your year's worth of charges will go to collections and ruin your credit score. I decided the easiest route would be to pay it and walk away. And you would think it would end there, but it doesn't. They purposely use a collection agency that refuses to remove said item from your credit report...presumably in the hopes of getting you to pay money you don't own them a second time. I will be reporting to the BBB and am weighing my legal options at this point. If you join this gym after reading this, know they will do the same to you. read more

Although there is plenty to do at the gym, with tons of equipment to choose from, plates are strewn about the gym randomly across different racks and machines, making it difficult to find the right amount of weight for your lift. On the same note, there doesn't seem to be enough collars for all stations with barbells. When you do find them, they are the low-quality, metal spring collars that are difficult to put on the bar. Trying to clean up after yourself is a chore as well: spray bottles are too few, and people tend to think they own spray bottles, carrying them around the gym with them instead of letting them stay next to the paper towels. I've had many instances where I saw a spray bottle, finished what I was doing, then found that the spray bottle that I saw a minute ago disappeared. All-in-all, there is seemingly limitless options at the gym, but the polish (at least in the gym area) is non-existent. The locker room is very clean though, so I'll give them another star for that. read more

Stay clear of this place. If you try to cancel your membership they will say your account is closed yet continue to charge you month after month. Management is a nightmare to work with it's hard to tell if they are straight up crooks or just lazy as hell. Sophia Demarco and Brendon Dupont continually will dodge your calls, not answer emails and say to you they will get back, but never do. I am a bit off put to see these random 5 star ratings now. Sounds like the gym realized they sucked so bad and are trying to recoup some losses. Let's start here. New management, coming from an upper level manager, read my questions and ask yourself if you took care of it. 1. Is the steamer fixed in the mens room and worked for a month straight? If the answer is NO, your not back yet. 2. Are the TV's upstairs tunred on and are the stands with empty televisions removed? Big eye sore. 3. Have you performed tests and maintenance on every cardio machine upstairs and downstairs? They are run down, dirty, and need tune ups? 4. Have you established a cleaning schedule for the machines, especially upstairs ones where people sweat all the time. Should be done daily. Get it done. If already, good job 5. Have you designated 1 or 2 lanes for member swim during swim meets. They don't need the whole pool when members come here for the main reeason for the pool, not to mention we do pay for it, otherwise what are you really offering? 6. Have you got rid of your conman Ed the sales rep yet, you have shady staff that lack training. Hire a training manager man if you and your manager's can't do it. This is a start, I'll follow up at some point. It took you almost 3 years to realize your business was failing and well see how long it takes to get the basics down. Meet with a member of Planet Fitness management, they might be able to help you. They are clear cut, black and white, and have excellent systems and customer service. Good luck! read more

Sad to say that the club isn't evolving with the pandemic. We paid up front for a full year at the end of February 2020. Only went a handful of times before the shut down. Paid for a freeze from Oct to Dec. With cases on the rise and a compromised family member we do not feel safe using the facility. We reached out in hopes that they would offer to freeze our account until the pandemic is better under control. They will not offer anything. So we have to use it, lose it or pay them even more money to freeze it. They have our money...they lose nothing to just be decent. The pandemic is no one's fault and we understand that. Their refusal to help out in any way is very telling. read more

I have been a member about 4 years again this time. I say this time because have been previously because of problems with the billing. I now pay annually and avoid dealing with the third party collection group. The gym and local Londonderry staff are both excellent. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is some piece is always down pool, hot tub, therapy pool, steam room or sauna other than those the place works well. Fitness equipment and weights are kept in good condition and place is clean. I'm retired and go in the middle of day there are plenty like myself there which leads to nice social part of the day too. It has been interesting how many I know from years ago when we worked out there after work. Fitness is a hobby you can follow for a lifetime and this place works well for that. read more

I really love this gym and going there. I decided to come here because where I used to go closed and it wasn't on my way to work anymore since I started a new job. My only issue is that's it's not a 24 hour gym. Especially for the price that I'm paying. I know I can easily find another gym but this place is just so clean and the staff are so friendly. And I love that they are always bringing new things into the gym. Like more squat racks. If it was a 24 hour gym I would give it a 5 star. read more

Beware of birthday parties at the Ninja Warrior Fitness in Londonderry. Communication is nill and created stress and anxiety for me during my son's party. Don't book a party here....unless you enjoy paying for a stressful party After multiple attempts to contact to schedule a birthday party, I finally got a response from Tabitha. She had availability that would work and was very quick to contact me for my credit card information. She sent me some photos of the Ninja course, the general waiver, and an overview of what a two hour party includes...it stated the party includes an hour of coached time, 30 minutes of free time in the course, and then they join the grownups for pizza and cake. I didn't hear anything from them after they collected my credit card. I called a few days before the party to confirm that it was still scheduled, she replied yes. I asked if all paper goods are included, she again replied, yes. Based on the only information I received from her I scheduled to have the pizzas picked up at 4:45 ( so we would have it for 5 as per the schedule she sent me). We get to the party. All seems ok....the "coaches" are highschool girls that were on their phones more than actually attending to the 13 six year olds we had at the party. They then tell me that the kids would be coming in for pizza and cake at 4:30.....what?! I explained that based on the information I received this was not the case, and there wouldn't be pizza until 5...she seemed to not care...she just wanted to go back to her phone. My husband scrambles to try to get the pizza early....in the mean time I have to adjust the order and do cupcakes first....I have to scavenge for plates (find some that are about 3 inches, just big enough for a cupcake) my husband misses singing happy birthday to our son. Kids eat cupcakes then are complaining they are hungry and bored ....I am now apologizing profusely to the kids and their parents who are looking at me like I'm an idiot. Finally pizza arrives....but wait, there are no plates other than the miniature sized ones....I again reach out to the coaches..no help (I had specifically reached out to ask and was told they provide all paper goods). Kids scarf down pizza that is served on brown paper towels, to get back to the course. They are inspected by the coaches before they are allowed to go into the course, both sides of hands, up close and personal with their faces, and the bottoms of their shoes (all of this could have been avoided if they followed the schedule I received). Kids had fun...but I left feeling so much anxiety and stress. Not what you expect to feel at a paid party venue. I reach out to Tabitha regarding my issues with the party and requesting a partial refund based off of the false information given to me and the overall terrible experience. No response for close to two weeks....reach out again. Finally a response basically saying tough stuff. I push back to get a response from Ann Marie, she again says they don't refund unless weather issues. I again push back and request her superior's contact information. She said she is the head of that department and sends me 5 vouchers for open gym time!! Don't book a party here....unless you enjoy paying for a stressful party! read more

I've been a member at the WC for over a decade. My review is not based on the gym but on the GM. I never had any issues with the gym nor the staff until a week ago when I had an incident with Brandon the GM of the Londonderry, NH. I usually go to the Manchester but once a week I go to the Londonderry location. I was told by Brandon after going there for years I cannot go to this location because I am a only a member of the Manchester. If I want to go this location I would have to pay the difference of the cost which would be an additional $200, I currently pay $250 at the Manchester but Londonderry would be $450 a year because they have a pool, which I don't use. I asked him why was I allowed in before and not now he replied back they just updated their system. I have no interest paying such a huge cost so if I can use the gym today and I won't come back. He said I would have to pay $5 if I wanted to use the gym today, they can charge my card that is on file. I gave him the approval but he said my card was declined for $5, clearly Brandon didn't want me in the gym. I asked him if I can use the gym since he is not able to charge me but he declined to let me in. I left decided not to get into an ego battle with Brandon I went to the Manchester location. The GM of Manchester was aware of the incident as Brandon called him. The GM in Manchester said Brandon was probably having a bad day but if I wanted to use the facility over in Londonderry it would be $100 more and not $200, it appears Brandon was attempting to charge me more, makes me wonder how often he does this with other members. I emailed Amy who is his supervisor. She did get back to me on a 3-way call with the GM of Manchester and did apologize and said he should've handle it better. Bottom line great gym but avoid jerks like Brandon if you consider a membership. read more
