I attended a fraternal alumni dinner at The Wynden. I drove in from San Antonio for the event. This place is super easy to get to, and pretty near the highway. The venue is beautiful and was perfect for about the 175-200 that were in there. They had round tables set up for 10 at each table. Fortunately for me, I sat closest to the door - which is nearby where the buffet was set up in a side room. Unfortunately for me, this is also by the kitchen is located, so when the caterers were cleaning up, I was a little distracted from my guest speakers by the clanking of dishes and cleanup in the back. If you were looking to book for a wedding, where music would be playing, I don't think the cleanup would impact your event. The microphone system (which I don't know if it was provided by the venue or by my organization) was a little low volume for what we needed. But overall, visually, this place is a great venue for weddings, guest speakers, etc. read more

After months of searching for the perfect venue for our wedding reception we were very happy when we finally found The Wynden! We held our reception at the Wynden on 10/13/18. My husband, mom and I did the walk through on a Saturday afternoon, immediately after arriving, we were met by the nicest person in the world, Dani Meador, the events manager. She was very helpful in answering all of our questions and going through the package options with us. Not once was she pushy/rude or got annoyed at our questions (we had already done a couple of walk-throughs at other event venues that we wrote off right away) and we felt very at ease with her. Towards the end of the walk through we had already made up our minds and knew we had to have our wedding at The Wynden. We still had two other event spaces we needed to look at but none compared to The Wynden. We loved the fact that Dani and Russell were able to work with our budget and we booked The Wynden for our reception! We had our taste testing about a month before the wedding and Russell came out and introduced himself and was able to answer all of our questions. We truly felt the Masraff's love! The food at the taste testing was amazing and I even joked that I would need a second dress the night of the wedding so that I could eat all the dessert I wanted! Cocktail hour was held outside, luckily the weather cooperated! The bar was set up at the gazebo and the drinks were flowing and the passed appetizers were a hit! We did dinner buffet style and it was set up in a separate room, Dani and her team helped controlled the buffet line and made sure everything went smoothly. The food! the food was the best part! I never believed other brides when they said that they didn't get to eat the day of their wedding but now I see how it's easy to not eat, but Dani made sure we had a plate of food and I definitely ate. We also had a dessert bar, but I unfortunately didn't get to eat all of the desserts we had as I kept getting pulled away! We got so many compliments on the food. To this date we continue to get messages about the food. My husband is Filipino and I am Mexican, we wanted our bride and groom drinks to give a nod to our culture. Mine was a prickly pear margarita and his was a calamansi sour. We sent Dani the recipes and the bartender worked her magic and did an amazing job at mixing them. (we tried recreating the calamansi sour on our own, but the bartenders did much better job than we did). Having Dani as the day of coordinator was a huge help! We knew we were in good hands and completely trusted Dani with a lot of the decisions. She is awesome at communicating and answering questions. She was able to help us get a great package for the DJ/Photobooth and other extras. (which BTW the DJ was amazing). I truly do recommend The Wynden for weddings, events, etc... You will be in great hands. Another plus of having your wedding/event at The Wynden is you can always visit Masraffs after if you are craving the food! We are actually thinking of going to Masraffs for our one year anniversary. (yes we take our food seriously and even though our anniversary is next year it doesn't hurt to plan ahead :) read more

We visited here for a wedding and was impressed! Food was fantastic! Service was even better. The wait staff was courteous and attentive and came around the tables all evening long ready to fill every half empty glass. The space itself is quite beautiful, very clean with neutral colors and lots of windows. There is also a little courtyard to the south side and a bigger yard to the north with a tall fence, well-manicured lawn, and a white gazebo. read more

We had our wedding reception at The Wynden and it was flawless. With months of planning, Dani was very helpful, kind and willing to do anything. In fact, she fractured her ankle 3 days before the reception and still showed up and made sure everything ran smoothly!! The Wynden was an absolutely fantastic venue for our March wedding! The people: Ginger was my point-person, and I can't say enough wonderful things about her. Her vendor recommendations were excellent, and she was indispensible on the day of the wedding. We did not have a "coordinator" throughout any of the process, but having her there to bounce ideas off of and to help me to make site-specific decisions every now and then ... and to serve as the day-of coordinator was a huge load-off. The Masraff's staff (package deal) is excellent. They were all attentive, and kept things running smoothly all evening long! The space: We had our ceremony outside (though it was hit or miss as to whether the weather was going to cooperate). The lay-out is fresh, clean, and lovely for a wedding. We added nothing to the gazebo, and just had a few aisle arrangements every few rows of the rented white folding chairs. Then, we added some string lighting above to make it feel more intimate and romantic as night fell during the reception. We ended up with about 170 guests, which was the perfect size (as was previously suggested by Ginger) for the space. We did a buffet, but tables were assigned, and that worked really nicely as well. The food: We love good food, so it was important to us that we feed our guests well. At the Wynden, you must use Masraff's catering, which was absolutely excellent. We got so many compliments on the food that we lost count. Overall: We highly recommend this venue! And you truly can't beat the central location, surrounded by tons of hotel options, and so close to so many restaurants, bars, the Galleria, etc. read more

After looking at many venues throughout the Galleria Tanglewood area we chose the Wynden for my son's wedding. It was amazing! We could not have chosen a better location. Dani and Jordan, the event planners were wonderful, easy to work with and courteous to all our guests. Russell, the owner was very friendly and offered wonderful recommendations for the food. I have never heard anyone rave about the food as I have heard about our wedding. It was unbelievably delicious especially for serving 150 people! I would recommend The Wynden to anyone seeking an elegant venue close to town. read more

We went to a wedding reception here last night. It was absolutely beautiful. The bartenders and all the servers were so nice. We especially loved the server assigned to our table, Thomas. His service was prompt, he was funny and friendly and made sure our drinks were never empty. The appetizers were super tasty and good variety. Lamb chops were out of this world delicious. Dinner was okay- wasn't a huge fan of the sauce and fish was overcooked but steak was yummy and mashed potatoes and green beans were amazing . The set up of the reception was nice ; where our table was we had a hard time hearing so would have been nice to have an extra speaker in that area in the back of the room. They also had a kids room set up with like movies and toys which I thought was so so awesome and such a great idea! As guests at the wyden we had overall a great time and thought the venue was really cute. read more

Treats guests terribly during and after event. My sister threw up and all of the staffing was very rude stating "she needs to leave and I have a venues reputation to protect" versus caring how the guest is and getting her home safely. read more

We had TWO rehearsal dinners at the Wynden. One in July of 2015 and one this past March 2018. Obviously we had a great experience the first time, so we returned. I love the stand alone building and parking was perfect...no long walks to get to the car etc. The food was exceptional both times. Can not beat Masraff's food. The venue has been redone since 2015 which was nice. Ours was the first party held there since the remodel, so much of it was being completed right before our event. I was starting to get panicked wondering if it would all get done. GInger and John came through big time. Ginger was indispensible. She was so calm, offered great suggestions, helped the night of, and was always available to cheerfully answer any questions I had. She took care of the the video the night of the event so we did not have to hire an AV service to play it. With GInger there, you do not need to have an event planner for the night because she quietly takes care of everything. read more

We had our wedding here this past weekend, everything was amazing. Pamela and The Wynden surpassed every expectation and then some. Our guests were blown away by the food, the atmosphere, professionalism of the staff and how perfect everything was. Everyone asked where the food came from and directions to their new restaurant location (9655 I-10/Katy Fwy at Bunker Hill Rd). This is all very important while dealing with covid 19. Being able to have 1 night without any stress or worry due to covid 19 and being able to take our minds off of all the negativity going on in the world right now (while still following cdc guidelines) and focus on just having a fun and memorable night meant the world to us and all of our guests. Pamela and the Wynden were able to create a perfect night that we as well as all of our guests will always remember. I would not recommend any venue other than The Wynden to any bride and groom who are still going through with their wedding, or any wedding at any time in general. I also wouldn't recommend having anyone other than Masraffs cater any event you may be planning. We couldn't be more thankful for Pamela, The Masraffs, and every employee who took care of us that evening. Anyone who is planning a wedding and passes on this venue is making a huge mistake. read more

The bride said she loved her coordinator but I don't have any experience with that. I will say that the suggested dj MADE the night! We were on the dance floor for hours! My husband and I had our wedding reception at The Wynden in March 2012 and could not be more pleased. Ginger, the sales manager, was extremely professional, knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire planning and day-of process. She had great ideas for the layout, as well as menu, and was exceptional to work with during what is, without a doubt, a stressful time. All of our guests complimented us on the venue, staff and especially the food - which is outstanding. There are two outdoor areas (larger courtyard that can be utilized for an outdoor ceremony and a smaller patio that was perfect for guests to mingle outdoors). We could not be more pleased. My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Wynden in February 2013. We chose the Wynden because we wanted an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception, and it has a beautiful garden with a fountain and large trees. Ginger, the wedding coordinator at the Wynden, was so helpful throughout the process and pretty quick to respond to my (multiple) emails. On the day of our wedding, I'm not sure what we would have done without Ginger -- she was there early to coordinate vendor deliveries, helped tie some flowers to ceremony chairs, get lunch for the bridal party, and find us throughout the night to let us know it was time to cut the cake or do the bouquet toss, etc. The venue is perfect for a medium sized wedding (I bet it can accomodate 200 easily), and the gazebo in the garden is a good backdrop for an outdoor ceremony. The food doesn't need to be reviewed here -- Masraff's is one of the best restaurants in Houston and our wedding food was no different to the restaurant's food! Truffle mashed potatoes, wild mushroom risotto.... you get the idea. We definitely recommend the Wynden! read more
