Gorgeous hotel! It's quite busy here with visitors.. we came here for a GALA. Valet provided excellent customer service! They are on their A game! Never seen some fast runners fetching cars! This hotel has it made! The self parking is a brief distance right across the walkway! Valet is super fast! You won't be disappointed! Valet is the way to go! These guys are fast! Banquet meal was amazing! Unfortunately, you can't always say that for all hotel food. Enjoyed our first visit here!

Had a very comfortable stay at the Omni for my birthday weekend. We were greeted with a great valet staff and bellman. They also offered complimentary champagne at the front. Stayed for three days, two nights. Enjoyed the pool area with friends. Fairly large pool and a lot of space for others. Only two private cabanas and you have to walk up the stairs to go to the bar. Bartenders were very busy and didn't have help in the scorching sun so they weren't paying attention to newly standing guests waiting for a drink order. Servers coming to you at the pool were very nice though and delivered your drinks once you were able to start a tab. My husband enjoyed the gym and we both enjoyed room service food. Very clean hotel, smaller restaurant at the main floor and we didn't get to enjoy the black swan which we heard was nice.

Impeccable service awaits! The Omni Houston hotel is a real treat! Every member of their staff is ready and willing to assist with making your stay pleasant and memorable. We booked a last minute trip for New Year's Eve and were glad we chose to stay a few days. We brought our kids and dog and were impressed with the nearby parks and places for them to play. We used the free shuttle to go on close by trips. The driver was prompt and knowledgeable about the attractions nearby. The black swans this hotel has on the property are beautiful and fun to watch. The onsite cafe has a good variety of food that is delicious and reasonably priced. The hotel overall was a great value and a great stay!

I truly enjoyed the redfish at the Cafe. The presentation was the perfect welcome to a well-seasoned fish fillet paired with pickled veggies and stone-ground grits. On their own, I would have found the grits quite bland, but it was lovely together with the fish and vegetables. The light sauce was a nice compliment for the fish without competing for the spotlight. The cafe was perfect for dinner. The ambiance was elevated, and the prices were reasonable for a company travel dinner. The staff were professional and polished, which tends to match the Omni's operations. Overall, it was a nice evening experience.

Thumbs Up: The rooftop lawn and garden are beautiful and provide a relaxing place to enjoy the city skyline. Thumbs Up: Portions of the rooftop are dedicated to gardens that grow fresh produce, adding a unique touch to the space. Neutral: I wasn't able to determine where the harvested produce ultimately goes. I'm sure the information is available somewhere, but I don't recall seeing it during my visits. Thumbs Up: I can actually see my home from the rooftop. Thumbs Up: I've watched a few rooftop concerts from my balcony. Thumbs Up: As an added bonus, it's always entertaining to hear some of my neighbors complain about the "noise pollution" during HOA meetings. Living Downtown comes with unique advantages and occasional inconveniences. If someone can't tolerate city life, they may be happier living in the suburb provinces. Thumbs Down: Access to the rooftop is sometimes restricted during seasonal events and special art installations. I understand the need for ticketed events, but I wish general access to the public spaces could remain available whenever practical. Thumbs Down: I am able-bodied, but I couldn't help noticing that rooftop access appears difficult for visitors who use wheelchairs or have mobility impairments. The elevators are not easy to locate, and several were out of service during my many visits. Improving accessibility would make this space more welcoming for everyone.

Yelp Houston has hosted some events at the Outpost in the past. During the summer, it gets very hot! The restaurant seems to be run by untrained staff that made our experience much worse than need be. Everyone was nice but our dinner came out before we had really started our appetizers, and they brought out our dessert in the middle of us eating dinner. We asked for basics like cups for our water, ice and serving utensils and had to ask multiple times to get any of it. Nobody ever cleared our finished plates so we ended up just moving everything from all 3 courses to one end of the table. They messed up our drink order and just left the wrong ones on our table (and on our bill). The food was good but everything (no matter what you order), tastes like liquid smoke. I do not see us going back given how many better run options there are in Houston but glad we gave it a try.

From the moment you arrive, the staff makes a strong impression. Everyone is incredibly attentive, warm, and professional, which speaks volumes about the hotel's commitment to hospitality. Whether it's valet, front desk, housekeeping, or room service, the service is consistent and thoughtful across the board. One of the highlights for me is the pool area. It's beautifully designed and gives you the feeling of being transported to a luxury resort outside the U.S.. It really gives tranquil, stylish, and well-maintained. It's the kind of place you could spend hours just relaxing, and it never feels overcrowded. The service by the pool is also impeccable. The staff truly ensure you are well taken care of. Another standout experience was the concierge lounge. If you have access, it's well worth taking advantage of. The lounge offers a generous spread of complimentary food and beverages throughout the day, including snacks, full meals, desserts, and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). You can also bring 1-2 guests, which makes it a great spot to host a friend in a more private setting. It's a nice touch that enhances the overall value and convenience of your stay. Also a great money saver. The rooms themselves are clean, comfortable, and well-kept. While they might not feel ultra-modern or exceptionally luxurious by today's 5-star standards, you can tell that when the hotel was built, it was designed to be state-of-the-art. It still holds a certain elegance and charm. One thoughtful feature I appreciate is the doorbell system outside each room. This eliminates unnecessary knocks by staff and provides a more peaceful and private experience. All in all, I would rate The Post Oak a strong 4.5/5. I've stayed in top-tier hotels around the world, and while this property may not be the most cutting-edge anymore, it still holds its own with great service, top tier amenities, and a sense of calm luxury that makes it a go-to spot for a luxurious, relaxing stay in Houston.

They even took our coffee & lattes off the bill. The gym here is all brand new equipment, loved seeing a cable machine, leg press, and hip abductor machine all in a hotel gym.
