I've been a knitter for about 20 years. A new Crochet Along is about to start using a certain combination of colors. My go to store didn't have any of the colors in any of the yarns (it happens, no biggie). I check the other stores suggested and gave Wood & Knit a shot. Not only did they have everything in needed at a GREAT price, I (located in Georgia) neglected to ask for shipping! I didn't realize till much later in the day. I woke up to a response to my email at 1am. Telling to not worry. They would ship it right out and because I ordered so much (believe me I usually order way more) I should have received a couple of free skeins! What!!! And because I didn't it should cover shipping!!! whaaat!!! And if it doesn't and the difference is minimum they would cover it...And...said if I needed assistance with the Crochet Along just let them know I didn't say I was doing the Crochet Along. She also keeps a lot of her reptile pets in the back, and so had the opportunity to hold two of her snakes. (But for those who don't like reptiles, don't worry-- you can't see them unless you go in the back room.) Very friendly and knowledgeable overall. Nice selection of yarn fibers, colors, and prices. I've seen some cashmere, cotton, wool, acrylic... probably ~$40 a skein on the more expensive end. (Cashmere is a luxury fiber, after all.) But there's plenty of more cost-effective options for the thrifty crafter. There is also some wool roving for sale-- the braids in the basket near the front run about $25, but I've been able to buy wool by the ounce that she keeps in the back for some very reasonable prices: I've seen $2.50 to $4 an ounce, depending on the breed. Those fibers tend to have a bit of VM to pick out, but nothing unmanageable. There are a couple couches and a table to sit at if you want to hang out and craft. It's a super cozy environment. I'm a happy customer!

There is a ton of selection and a large seasonal section. There is plenty of things to get in trouble with and spend more than what you intend on things you can't live without! It will be even nicer once the construction is completed at the nearby mall.
