I highly recommend Float Light! I love floating while travelling and have been to around 60 float…read morecenters now, and Float Light is in my top 5 after my visit. I booked a float, followed by time int he salt loft, followed by a shiatsu massage. They have 4 float suites to choose from, and I went with the "Star Ship Pod". The space is beautiful, welcoming, and spacious. My float guide, Danielle, helped make the visit effortless. She provided an orientation of the space and of my float suite. I had a wonderful, deeply relaxing float journey. After my float I relaxed in the lounge for a bit, where Danielle checked in to offer water or tea, and after reflecting for a few minutes she took me back to the salt loft. Their salt loft isn't your typical salt room, but a beautiful, custom, lofted space. I had the space to myself, so I reclined and just breathed for a bit. Then came the massage with Annie. It was only my second time having a shiatsu massage it was incredible! She mentioned that she trained at Barefoot in Madison which makes perfect sense because Al at Barefoot in Madison is a wizard as well. I love many of the personal touches Float Light offers, such as the kombucha tap area (with free samples!), the luxurious robes I wore during my visit, the soft lighting throughout the space, and much more. I could go on, but I'll just say that if you haven't visited Float Light yet, book yourself for one or all of their services. I could have easily spent a few more hours there, taking a break to get lunch and coming back for a fire and ice session, which I'll definitely be doing next time!

Jess takes time to explain everything to you and to settle nerves of first time floaters. I was first introduced to floating in Portland, OR. Float Light has taken the time and energy into getting the details right. I have only done 90 min sessions and am ready to do a 3 hour next. I like to go strait to a dark quiet place personally but they do have beautiful twinkling stars and music. So you can customize your experience. I have been too warm both times I've been there in 2 rooms but can just open the door to the tank and it works. This is a life changing experience. They offer a membership where you can float regularly at discounted prices. I am considering it. And will float again!

I did a three week course with these people and what a mistake. Well, let me first say if you are…read morea woman you are probably ok, but if you are a man, forget about it. Now I know what it feels like to be a woman with a bunch of impolite and harrasing men. So back to the class. The owner's name is Deborah Williamson. She was all happy and nice when she was marketing me for attendance, but once I got there she basically ignored me for the entire 3 weeks. The class had 9 other women in it and I noticed a distinct difference between her treatment of the women versus the men. There was one man that came to a lot of the classes that she ridiculed on a regular basis. So at least I was not the only one. So... 7000 dollars later and nothing to show for it? No, I'm not recommending that you go to this place. I'm recommending that you stay as far away from this place as you can, especially if you are a man or a woman who is not fond of the mistreatment of men. In summary, yoga is supposed to embody peace, mutual respect and tranquility. Deborah represented to me disdain, humiliation and neglect. Buh-BYE! Update - Isn't it funny how there are zillions of reviews in such a short span? Less than honest behavior from the owner, just like I experienced when I spent thousands... This was my teacher test for you. You - flunked just like I did when you passed me...
