It represents true value for money and is much better than the university canteen and Subway. There are a number of sandwich fillings you can have and all sandwiches are made to order. Everything from a salad bap to a sausage and bacon sarnie. Price wise it's cheaper than competitors but the only down side is that it is take away only. It's only down the road from Hanley Park so if it's a nice day, venture there to enjoy a lunchtime snack.

The shop is amazing, almost like stepping back in time. The shop has an excellent range of sandwiches and rolls, they offer combinations of food, as well as design your own sandwich. This is the store that first introduced me to Banana, brown sugar and walnut rolls.....10 yeras later, I still love them. As well as sandwiches, and rolls they also sell drinks, soup, cake and crisps. This should be the top on everyones list.

I'm not particularly fond of the chocolate numbers myself, if I'm tempted, I go for the rhubarb and cherry slices (super moist), and things like the Belgian buns are pretty snazzy too. A couple of things worth noting are- They have a slicing machine- so if there's any loaves you want, but are only capable of cutting diagonal doorsteps at home, they can deal with it. If you want a hot sausage or bacon sandwich for example, you're possibly going to have a little wait as they like to cook things fresh. If you ring in advance, you can avoid standing in the corner by the fridge of drinks for a short while.

They do it so well i think they will be there another million years. Friendly couple in there told me some of the history of the place when i went in, but my eye were fixated on that spit roast spinning behind him. "I damn care about your history bro" i thought to myself, all i wanted that that perfect pork sandwich i know they can create. The place is cheap and the sandwiches are fat as hell. I've tried their sausage bloom with fried egg and caramelised onions and also their French onion soup and 'The Big Fish' toasted sandwich. These are great - just the perfect amount for lunch. Their coffees are good too. The people who work here are lovely and the service is fast. I can imagine it being the perfect place for a quick take out sandwich. I can't fault Bloom at all, and i'm sure the more time i spend in Nantwich, the more i'll enjoy coming to Bloom.

My usual staple sandwich when I come to Bloom is the NYC, and I have tried the roast chicken and…read morethe bacon bloom, however, this time, I decided to opt for something new and chose the Holy Mackerel (shredded smoked mackerel with lemon and black pepper on a bed of rocket, with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar). When it first arrived I was slightly overwhelmed by the amount of rocket on it, however, it turned out that this worked perfectly with the intense smokiness of the mackerel (and made me feel slightly healthier). The lemon, pepper, and balsamic vinegar added a nice sharpness and complimented the peppery rocket. Also, the locally baked seeded roll was noticeably fresh and delicious. If you decide to dine in at Bloom you also get a little bowl of fresh, homemade coleslaw. This is easily one of the best coleslaws I have ever eaten. It doesn't do anything particularly different to any other 'slaw', but it is sharp and zesty whilst also somehow managing to be creamy and luxurious. The sultanas adding a nice fruity sweetness as well. Overall, Nantwich (and Cheshire) is lucky to have such a fabulous sandwich shop and if I'm in need of a sandwich there aren't many places I would choose over it in the country. Some people have remarked to me that they find Bloom a little pricey (my bill came to £11 for the sandwich above, a coffee and a cold drink). However, although that is slightly more expensive than other similar places in Nantwich, I would rather pay the extra and know that I am getting quality food from locally sourced businesses and suppliers.
