It was a rainy, cold evening during which we waited for a couple of hours until it was our group's turn to process in the parade. As one can imagine, we were tired by the end of the route, but were welcomed by The Spot's owners to come in, have some warm pizza, desserts, and drinks. It was such a pleasant experience and we felt very much like family. My second experience was just this past weekend, when my daughter was generously given a t-shirt by the owner. Small but impactful gestures such as these are what validate the choices I've made leading us to be associated with The Spot and our dance group, Folklor America.

I was a…read morechubby kid in the 90s, so it was somewhat embarrassing for me to wear a leotard and tights to prance around as a child. However, the dance teacher (and owner) Jennifer never made me feel out of the ordinary or left out from any of the dance recitals or classes. She always made sure I participated and had a role, no matter how slight. Slowly but surely, I gained confidence over time and was able to dance my heart out in front of strangers despite my size. For plus-sized children, I would highly recommend taking dance classes here at The Little Dance World and to find community in the dance world. I remember making a lot of friends here as a kid and even though we don't keep in touch anymore, I recall a lot of fun times here at The Little Dance World. Whether it be learning how to dance Chinese folklore or hip-hop, I would entrust Jennifer and company to teach your children several things, such as how to be kind to each other, maintaining a code of conduct and professionalism, and learning how to do some fun exercises via dance. Even though I don't dance anymore, I loved dancing when I was a kid and would recommend others to check this place out. Dance is such an incredible mode of self-expression and what better way to get your kids to dance early on in their childhood. While the class was working on pointing their feet, she preferred to "swim" across the floor and occasionally pull her tutu up to her chest. I think she might've just been a little too young to fully grasp ballet structure. But when she's ready to keep her tutu where it belongs and follow the steps, we will definitely be back. That's why I yelp, but this place has been in business for 22+ years without advertisement only by word of mouth... say what?!?! ~ Now idk if you watch the show 'Dance Moms" or something like that (its been a min), but those moms and kiddos be ... a little cray cray... I don't feel that craziness here. Kids and families here are definitely being trained well and properly, without the extra drama bs. You know why? Cause the owner (Alice) gives it to you straight, no BS included. Plus the moms here that I've met so far are really nice and the kids are really enjoying dancing. Witnessing and learning details about this whole situation, I feel sorry for the owners of Vibes bc I feel like they took the blame for the previous owner of the Rowland location. The owner of vibes tried their best to accommodate members from the previous business (who actually charged these members annual pass fee and committed to provide services) while they did not receive any payment. If anything what's fair would be for these member to reach out to the previous owner who charged them for the annual pass rather than giving the owner of vibes la a hard time by causing a mess and being rude intentionally on the group chat.
