The bar suggested that I contact the sheriffs office to see if it had been turned in. It hadn't so I filed a report. A wonderful officer called me back and suggested that we track my iPhone. I didn't think I had find my phone on this particular phone but the officer was able to do it for me and tracked my phone (and purse) to its exact location... Which happened to be in my hotel room but that's beside the point. I was so impressed with the officer who was friendly and extremely helpful. Great impression of your county!!

They tell the shipper that "Delivery Attempted", which is a bold face lie. They do not attempt anything. The postal workers hide behind that it is USPS policy. Well, time to change policy. Every other shipping company (UPS, Amazon, DHL, FedEx) all deliver to the office. ONLY USPS does not deliver and then lies about it! Time to cut pay, benefits, and hours for a government protected service who does not focus on Customer Service.

And Selma's enough to make you want to hang out here from dusk til dawn. Which would be quite a feet. Although trying to snake your way in here in traffic can be tough. But I don't mean to wine. On with the review. Salma is on the outskirts of San Antonio on the northeast side, right when you're heading to Austin or coming in from Austin. It's not too far out of town, and there are some pretty cute places and some decent food. And all the chain restaurants you can imagine seem to be here, and even a little bit of boba. It's nice here and traffic is not as bad as it is in some parts of San Antonio, and definitely not as bad as Austin, Houston or Dallas. It's a somewhat typical suburb and not too fancy compared to some. I like it, although I probably wouldn't live here.

There's a handicap wheelchair ramp to the right, but little in the way of parking except along the lane. There's a blend of different markers from service members, sisters, and families. There's also a prayer garden off to one side and the place is quite nicely taken care of. There's still some room for more interments, but not much room. This is most likely not a public cemetery, only those associated with the monastery.

Fun to see this unusual piece of Texas history. And at 30 feet tall, this is a pretty impressive…read morebat-house!! It was built in 1918 to attract bats to help with the malaria outbreak since they consume insane amounts of mosquitos. Of the 16 that were built, this is the only one left standing!! It's now on the national historic places register so helpfully it'll stay standing! It's a very short stop - and I'd say I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to see it bc it's on private property behind a gate and fence - but definitely fun for a quick look if you're in the area. The Atlas Obscura website says the townsfolk will let you in the gate to see it, but I didn't run into anyone or I sure would've asked lol! Maybe you'll have better luck! But if not, it is visible from the roadside and you can still get a good look. Given how there are tons of bat colonies in this part of Texas, I'm sure they still roost here!

We only live a couple of miles from the library and never realized that this library has so much to…read moreoffer. They have a garden club that has demonstrations and speakers throughout the year. They also have many opportunities for groups from infants and toddler to exercise classes and book clubs. Their website has the current information or you can go by the library to see the flyers for the events. They also display local artists work. We are blessed to have such a wonderful library that offers so much in this little town.
