Cave 2 of 5 and this one is off the Beaten Path...Super friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. This tour felt very personal, as it was just us 3 and the tour guide...gave us more time to listen and learn the history of the cave..still hard to wrap your head around what you seeing...the age, the shapes, the colors...was a fantastic dive into the underground.
When on a tour here on a whim one weekend. Great little tour, beautiful well maintained cave. Some somewhat slippery stairs on the way down into the cave as well as some slippery areas inside so something to be aware of for older adults. They do concerts and weddings down in the caves as well which would make for a beautiful setting. Small tour group, only around 10 of us on the tour.
Cave itself is beautiful. You basically check in and then wait for your tour guide. Once the tour guide shows up at the time you requested, he or she then takes you down the stairs to enter the actual cave. We had a huge group so, at times I did feel claustrophobic since, we couldn't just walk around in the cave by ourselves. We had to always stay behind our guide which was annoying, but understandable since you can't touch anything inside the cave due to the fact that our oils on our hands can stop the growth of the living organisms in the cave. I would also mention that I don't think this is a good place to bring kids unless your child is 100% well-behaved. I brought my son, and had no issues. As far as the whole experience goes, again the cave is gorgeous. However, it was very boring for me and really short. I'm glad I got to experience this beautiful cave, but I don't think I'd ever come back. Tickets are about $25 per person so, if you're in the area check it out for yourself. It was 100 degrees when we went, but the cave below is around 66ish degrees.
We made a reservation for the cave on a Monday afternoon. The cave is located outside of Boerne up in the Hill country. There were four other people in our group for a total of six. We went down many steps. To get to the six different rooms. There were multiple stalagmites, stalagtites and some thing they called bacon which looked very interesting. I have a picture of the bacon in my photos. The tour lasted about an hour and was very comfortable as the temperature is always in the mid 60s down in the cave. There's one room that's quite spectacular where they hold concerts. I think this was well worth the trip.

We decided to get here early for the first tour and were lucky to have a small group of people for our tour. Madden was a good tour guide who was very informative and answered any questions. The tour is a decent length, and there are lots of opportunities to get some great shots of the formations. They were going to have a concert that night so one area was already set up with chairs. There are, however, 126 stairs which are far easier to take going down than getting back up, but at least, you can say you got your steps in on this tour. There is a gift shop and bathrooms. Parking was pretty easy and I'd come back sometime.
Our guide Eli was superb! I had no idea this would be so huge inside! We were told they have weddings and concerts inside! This cave was absolutely spectacular. It is a "living" cave and you can't touch. There were beautiful lights and Eli was very knowledgeable about the cave's history. If you can't climb at least 8 flights of stairs you might want to reconsider, but you can take breaks on the way back up. We probably spent an hour down below. Afterwords Mike gave us some advice on where to go to get some good Texas barbecue! Friendly staff and beautiful scenery.
What a beautiful site to see! This cave DOES NOT disappoint. I have been to Natural Bridge and Inner Space Caverns and this is by far my favorite one. It's an hour long tour and you have to take 126 steps down to the cavern and 126 steps back up. No strollers allowed so get ready to carry the little ones. We had two little ones in tow with us and we felt all 126 steps on the way back up with masks on due to COVID. There a quite a few "rooms" to see with different types of formations. It is quite spacious once you are in the cavern and there is beautiful illumination to highlight the natural beauty of the cavern. We went over Spring Break and during COVID. It is best to make a reservation for a tour and everyone obliged and continued to wear a mask. There is a gift shop onsite along with some outdoor features like a labyrinth, mineral panning area( must buy at gift shop) and lots of green space. My cave pics don't do it justice as it is even more breathtaking in person. We really loved it and hope you do too.
This cave was larger than I expected and still actively growing. Stalagmites, stalactites, columns, flows, river. Nice tour guide. The acoustics are great for small concerts (cello, harp, etc.) and weddings. Small campground and they are a Harvest Host site. Gift shop. "Gem Mining" for the kiddos. Labyrinth.
Decided to take my daughter and grandson to a couple of caves. This was our second location and by far our favorite. A Cave Without a Name is stunning! Our guide, Julia, was a pure joy. So friendly and knowledgeable as well as just fun! I will be bank and be bringing others. read more
Smaller perhaps but cave includes dramatic formations. Smaller group meant guide could show us bat and salamander that make their home below ground. Gift shop has t-shirts, stickers, gems, rocks and open your own geodes. read more

We had an amazing experience at cave without a name. From what I have been told, this tour was short compared to natural bridge caverns, but the views are much more spectacular here. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to educate us on the different stalagmite/stalactite formations and was even able to date several of them for us. I was thoroughly impressed; the entrance to the cave is super unassuming - you would not believe such a massive cave was underneath the surface. You do have to clear several flights of stairs and they are slippery. But there was plenty of families coming in and out of the cave, it's a moderate amount of movement but you will for sure get winded climbing back up the stairs. Cannot recommend this place enough if you want to be wowed by the formations! read more

Smaller cave to check out once. We loved the water feature inside. Apparently, they hold concerts and other events inside the cave which is pretty cool. Gift shop had a great assortment of crystals. Tour guide was a little boring. Dirt parking lot. $23 for each adult. read more

This was a really neat place to Visit. The young ladies doing the tour have a really great history lesson as well as a good description of what we were seeing in the cavern. Everyone was real nice and the price wasn't bad as well. read more

We visited on a Tuesday for my birthday and had an amazing time. It was just my husband and I and the guide was so sweet and engaging. She took her time explained so many things and shared her favorite features. Definitely recommend read more
Such a fun place! My husband and I chose this as our date spot for this week and had a blast. The staff was friendly and inviting. Everyone we spoke with seemed genuinely happy to be there. We loved hearing cave stories, looking at all the different "foods" in the cave, & hearing everyone's opinions on what some of the rock formations looked like. I sadly can't remember our tour guides name, but he was incredible and very knowledgeable on the rocks. There was even an unruly, loud, kid in our tour and he stayed patient with him and the parents the whole time. *not stroller or wheel chair accessible* You do have to climb up over 100 stairs when exiting, almost 8 floors. read more

Went over the summer and just thought I should leave a review in case anyone was thinking about going. It was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend it. The staff were extremely professional and kind. Only downside were the spiders at the begging of the cave. But besides that, it truly is a magical experience. You can experience true darkness and the beauty of natural rock formations. 10/10, and thank you to the staff for making it such a fun experience! read more

Went to this for the first time today. It was enjoyable and a great experience, this has motivated me to visit more of the caves. Our tour guide Amber was really well informed and enjoyed her stories. There are a lot of interesting sites to see within the cave. I expect to return for one of their concert events. read more

This was our 2nd time to visit. Loved the cave but did not enjoy the tour guide this time. The tour felt rushed and ended 15 min early. We got a sarcastic response if anybody asked a question. I asked how many bats were in the cave (looking for an average). He responded "well I don't count them every morning". Another lady asked about construction being so close considering some areas are less than 6 ft from the surface. He responded "oh we don't care" um ok? That wasn't the question. There was a child with special needs in our group and the tour guide was oblivious, prompting him to hurry and almost making jokes when he was terrified of the spider. It was painful to hear. I think this tour was the exception as the one we did before this was wonderful. read more

Truly an experience you'll never forget -- you'll walk away with one question, "what's the electricity bill for this place like?" Bradley was our tour guide. He was so sweet & knowledgable. My favorite part was when he showed us the "cave bacon" and "fried egg" -- two things you need to see to understand. The walk back up to the surface requires a lot of endurance. Don't forget to bring cash to tip your tour guide! read more

We did a tour on New Years Day and it was great! It was interesting, Kyle was funny, and he had a lot of great info about the caves. I would be very happy doing another tour and take visiting family. Kyle cut a geode for me after giving me good tips on how to pick a geode I'd be happy with ---and boy it was a pretty one! read more

Great experience from start to finish. We went to Fredericksburg without a plan and found out this place was close enough to make a day trip. We went on a Tuesday and were the only two in our group. The guide was very experienced and we learned so much from the hour tour. The beauty of this cave is way better than pictures. I highly recommend going to experience! We plan to come back to see a concert down there in the future. read more

What a hidden gem! Right next to our house! We never knew. We went there on a Monday. No crowds! It was like our own private tour. The guide, Riley, was very nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. The history of how the cave was discovered was so cool. Cute little gift shop that was not overpriced. They even have walking trails and a campground. If you don't like the crowds and want a grade a natural wonder experience this is it. read more

Located in the heart of scenic Texas Hill Country is Cave Without a Name. It is a natural, living cave filled with formations of stalagmites, stalactites, flows tones and other cave terms that I have not even heard of before. LOL. Tours guides are very knowledgeable and will answer all your questions all cavern related. They even let us experience the cave in pitch black for a few seconds. This cavern even hold events like weddings and concerts. They were preparing for their Halloween concert while we are doing our tour. Just imagine the acoustic of any instrument and singers in there. We were told that that concert for the night is completely sold out. This place is a must visit! read more

I've been to a few caves, thus far this was one of my favorites. I'm sure a lot has to do with how great your tour guide is. Ours (I believe his name was Jeff) was phenomenal. Super knowledgeable and handled all of my mum's questions with ease. The cave was pretty impressive as well. Definitely recommend if you are a Cave dweller, lol. read more
