I noticed the small plastic plant decoration on every table. I personally can't stand fake plants in restaurant. They had an aquarium also...so typical haha. They had a good variety of meals (among sallads, lamb, beaf dishes as well as vegetarian meals etc.) and drinks. The food was much better than I thought it would be - I ate everything on my plate accept the jalapeno. One thing I have to stay is that I find it unnecessary to serve the bulgur in a separate bowl and the tzatziki on another small cup on the plate. I would rather have everything in just one plate. Other than that we had a good evening meal. I would come back here if I really can't bother to cook home.

This was less of a detriment than it originally appeared: this restaurant had one hostess/sommelier and no servers. Each plate / wine was presented by one of the chefs that cooked it. For us, the chefs just reached across the bar to hand us the plate we watched them prepare. Everyone at the bar especially enjoyed the appetizer: Norwegian king crab, three ways. Claw in croustad/ sabayonne (wine egg cream); poached in crown dill; and juniper smoked arm in brown butter. There was also a wood-fired oven for preparing individual bread loaves and the "Loaf cake" dessert, which I had hoped they would have used more, but maybe next time. My stepdad said his portobello burger was really good. And yes, of course I had to try the pancakes and although I've been spoiled with authentic american pancakes, these were pretty good. Dessert was a blueberry soufflé, with woods berries and ice cream. A couple of things, though: we got there at 19:30 for our reservation & it was literally empty (the adjoining pizza place was hopping, though). We didn't mind, but worth noting. Also, the view is Sveavagen. Not charming. Lastly, it is expensive, but worth it. Really a great time, definitely recommend going!

He did suggest their hamburger, but unfortunately they were out. Their lunch menus are very cheap, for just under 100sek I got my meal, a salad, freshly baked bread, and coffee and cookies. Fun fact... Each day has a pre made daily menu option. My options were chicken or fish, just like an airline :) I decided on the chicken. The dish was called a "flying Jacob" chicken on rice in curry sauce, bacon, and bananas. But today was no day for monkey business, so I ordered mine with out the bananas (just like Burger King, the restaurant let's you have it your way) The food came out very fast, the chicken was juicer than expected, actually it was very moist. The yellow curry sauce was a delight that was soaked up by the rice, and the bits and pieces of bacon in the mix blended up nice. Not a bad dish for a pre cooked lunch menu, we all almost licked our plates. As far as the staff and the restaurant in general, I must say that the staff was super friendly and there was no lack or delay in service. The restaurant it self was clean and well decorated. Only one bathroom though, but it too was very clean. I would like to visit again, if time permits, and tackle the chefs interpretation of the classic hamburger. By the way, an interesting observation.... As the restaurant was empty at about 2:30pm, the employees all sat at a table and had lunch together with their manager. Even the chef was allotted a brief lunch brake outside in the sun with his well prepared meal. I felt that it gave the restaurant a family touch and a feeling of cohesiveness, it seems as if they treat their employees very well.
