It's such a fun and unique way to explore the city! You start on land, taking in historic landmarks and beautiful views, then splash right into the harbour as the vehicle transforms into a boat. It's a cool experience whether you're a first-time visitor or a local looking to see the city from a new perspective. Our tour guide, Adina, was fantastic--full of energy, super knowledgeable, and made the whole ride engaging and fun. Big shoutout to Captain Geoff as well for the smooth and safe ride! We learned so much about the history of Halifax while also having a great time. It was so windy and rough that you could not hear anything they said nor could you see out of the glass due to the water splashing up on the boats windows. They also have paddle boarding, paddle nights and a slew of other activities (kayaking is a different day and there is a small fee). I'd recommend this to anyone, I've seen young children on paddle boards and siblings canoeing alone - unless you're acting a fool it's definitely a safe environment! I just discovered the weekly Wednesday evening paddle, where, for just $10, anyone can enjoy an evening exploring the waters of the Northwest Arm. The program only runs until the end of September, but will start again in spring when - hopefully - the troublesome pollution issues in the harbour will be resolved. The kayaking staff are really friendly, knowledgeable, and safety-conscious and offer beginners a full instruction session before letting them loose on the water! St. Mary's also has three asphalt tennis courts and a lawn-bowling facitlity, in addition to the clubhouse itself, which can be rented for banquets, receptions and other events.

They have races, events, socials, and are great with the overall customer service at the marina. There is a real production when the boats are taken out of the water at the end of the season, I have seen this boat on the trailer, then lifted by the crane, I have to give credit to the man who operates the crane, one slight movement of the hand and everything can go wrong. Overall they are very happy with this Yacht Club.

It was an awesome experience at a great price!! Additionally, they rent a lot of gear, bikes, canoes, kayaks, bear canisters, dry sacks, and much more. Furthermore, I rented a yurt from the national park service at Jake's Landing. The park service never gave me any information on unlocking the yurt, which happened to have a padlock on it!!! I can't remember exactly, but I think his name was Chad (a keji outfitter worker), he posted a note on the door with his phone number to try and help the people that reserved it the night be fore us. They couldn't get into their yurt also. 'Chad' assisted us with getting the combo to the yurt. Those folk at Keji Outfitters are kind souls indeed!!
