I think I was lucky to get a same day appointment. That said I'd recommend calling at least a few days in advance. Richard is located in K-town on the third floor of an older building. The parking lot is safe and free. Once you pull into the lot, security guards will tell you where to park. Richard started the session by asking a few questions to better understand my needs, sensitivity, and preferences. He used multiple techniques, communicated throughout the session, and is simply a master of massage. It's difficult to describe exactly what he does because it's a combination of acupressure, shiatsu, and deep tissue. Let's just say this isn't one of those relaxing Swedish massage type situations where you fall asleep. Richard intuitively works out tight muscles and really gets to the core of the tension.
