The clinic collected $420 in copays from me for six visits that were denied by my health insurance because Saylor did not obtain the required preauthorization. BCBS explained that when a denial is caused by a provider's administrative error, the patient is not responsible for any charges or copays. My Explanation of Benefits statements confirm that I am responsible for $0 for these visits. Despite this, the clinic kept the money. I spoke with their office manager and explained the situation. She refused to refund the copays because she was adamant the clinic would be paid for those visits. I explained that even though BCBS refused to pay, they would still receive payment from Geico for those visits since it was a personal injury claim. She still refused to refund the copays but said they would be refunded if they received payment from insurance. Later, Saylor Physical Therapy accepted payment in full from Geico for all six denied visits and still did not return my money. They have ignored every voicemail and email I've sent since then. There was also a seventh visit where they took my $70 copay, received payment from BCBS, and then accepted another payment in full from Geico for the same date of service. According to the information I received, they told Geico the visit had not been paid, even though BCBS had already paid the claim months earlier. They kept all three payments. This does not feel like a simple oversight -- it reflects a pattern of billing behavior that no patient should have to deal with. In total, Saylor Physical Therapy owes me $490 that I believe should be refunded, and they have refused to communicate or correct the issue. I have been left with no choice but to turn to the NC Department of Insurance and the NC Attorney General for assistance. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this clinic to anyone seeking honest or professional treatment.

I was out of state when they say I missed the appointment. They say I have no alternative but to pay the bill and there is no one higher than the secretary that I can speak with. This is garbage but I'll keep fighting.
