The room is so small that you trip over each other if there is more than one patient besides yourself and there is almost no equipment in the room. Evidently they run three businesses with one central office and the physical therapy for adults is conducted in this little room which seems like it was an afterthought just a way to make more money because they had a spare room. After a few visits I went searching for a different PT facility in person and am very happy with the Therapist and facility that I chose.

The founder/clinical director, Lance Havens, is an incredibly compassionate clinical expert on issues related to autism and neurodiversity/life on the spectrum. His genuine care and remarkable capacity with children radiates in everything he says and does. We feel fortunate and blessed to have met Mr. Havens, as he is an incredibly astute, experienced, and sound/deeply informed resource about neurological disorders. Mr. Havens is a former school psychologist and heads a team of registered behavior technicians (RBTs) and requires each person on his team to meet a standard of excellence/training/and experience before working with clients. He pays his employees a good wage and treats them with respect-and this has created an organizational climate where technicians who are agile with children and have proven themselves to rise to a high level of clinical competence/strength work symbiotically to support their child charges with sensitivity, insight, and care. The program is exceptional, holistic, and innovative. We were impressed by how AIM supports social skills utilizing the "Peers" social skills model (pioneered by researchers at his alma mater, UCLA); and he provides parent training that is invaluable for parents trying to better understand and navigate the pitfalls, challenges, and triumphs/joys of navigating life with a child on the spectrum. Mr. Havens took time out of his busy schedule-despite having a 90 minute commute back home in traffic-to train us on some key ways to support our child. There are so many myths about life on the spectrum-terrible conspiracy theories, anecdotal evidence offered up as empirically based research, and scaremongering (on social media/the internet). Mr. Havens is a wellspring of knowledge and a sound, compassionate clinical expert on a wide range of topics related to disparate neurological wiring, autism, developmental disorders, and communicates without judgment, condescension, and with profound compassion/understanding. We called countless ABA agencies-and what particularly stood out to me was AIM's inclusion of a feeding and sleep-based ABA program. No other organization provided such a unique approach to blending ABA with a focus on sleep and feeding/eating issues-(both areas that can be profoundly challenging for many people on the spectrum). The facility itself is exceptionally clean and they maintain excellent standards of hygiene/sanitation during COVID. You can rest assured that your child is not only safe with the exceptional clinically trained staff-but that AIM maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and safety protocols during the pandemic. It was not worth the trip if two of them couldn't be seen so I would cancel. Then I was accused of not meeting their 50% attendance. The minute I did not cancel in time which was very few times they were aggressive on sending me emails requesting the late fee payment which was basically the full amount they charged my insurance. I ended up cancelling services with them because it was just too stressful keeping up with their cancellations and the minute I didn't follow the letter of the contract demanded I pay.

Lorraine at the front desk made the whole interaction pretty seamless. We were seen by therapist Rachel for a consultation, and that was very successful. She was very friendly, welcoming, and reassured me about what the process was and what we could expect. The follow-up was awesome, and I'm excited to continue on a regular plan with the team. Really happy with my experience thus far! We've only done one appointment, so I can make an update after we've been to a few different sessions, but so far so good.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

My siblings and I hired her for my mom who had a stroke 2 years ago. My mom had not liked any other therapist her insurance provided but within 10 minutes of Leticia's first visit, her and my mom got along so well it brought tears to our eyes to see my mom laugh and smile during her speech therapy session. Leticia listened to us carefully with all of our concerns and provided my mom with top notch services. Thanks to her, my mom was able to make more progress in the first few months, than she had with her other speech therapist. Having worked with special needs kids myself, I understand the need of making a true connection with your student in order to see some sort of growth in them. My mom went from barely being able to say and recognize her own name, to being able to say and spell her full name and more. I can go on and on about all the wonderful things Leticia had done for my mom but I don't think there is enough room. I truly recommend her to anyone who is in need of hiring her for speech therapy. Trust me if we could of continued paying for her services, she would still be hired till this day!

During one of my son's scheduled sessions, his actual LICENSED therapist did not show up. No one on…read morestaff seemed to know where she was or whether she was even on the property. Instead, my son was seen for the entire session by an UNLICENSED trainee who is still in school. No one asked me if I was ok with this happening. In addition, we were billed for the appointment as if he had received care from a licensed therapist. The following week, the same therapist again failed to show up for her shift. Rather than offering any solution or attempting to reschedule, I simply received a text message stating that our appointment was canceled because no one was available to replace her. There was no phone call, no apology, and no attempt to accommodate another time. Beyond this, the sessions themselves were only 30 minutes and mostly consisted of basic play activities in the back room. Allowing my child to be seen for an entire session by someone who is not licensed and still in training unsupervised, while billing us for a full therapy appointment, is beyond unprofessional and borderline illegal.

Children of special needs have particular habits and objects they obsess over. HELLO?! The therapist would select things he wasn't interested in...so he would play with the cabinets and window curtains in the office instead. I wanted to make this work....I even gave some advice on toys he would love but the therapist stated " we're not there yet" she finally gave the desired toy last 5 minutes of the 30 minutes session and my son was finally enjoying and engaging with the play. Therapist says "Wow we should have started with that toy to begin with!" In my head I'm like "Duuuuh" If you pick the right toys for certain kids with certain favors then my child would engaged -- and therefore would participate in play = to talk! We had 1 substitute therapist twice and she was amazing... lots of energy and encouraging play and prying out words from my boy with all the RIGHT toys! He had so much fun with Paige! Unfortunately if your schedule doesn't fit, you don't get that therapist. We gave this place 3 months....fr Sept to Dec. With no improvements. A single 30 min play cost about $100ish a session! Your therapist better be working.... our therapist was lazy and barely spoke with my son...mainly with me. Why? *yawn* So boring and so awkward! Everyone was bored and wanted the 30 mins to be over!! LOL We were constantly staring at our watches and staring at each other, Or listening to the sounds outside the door. Come on ..these sessions aren't cheap, and it's just 30 mins...you'd expect they work it right? Mrs. Rachel on YouTube does a better job. And the receptionist Karla has a terrible attitude every time. She has a snotty tone like she's being bothered when you call or come up to the window to talk. I thought the first time maybe she was just having a bad day....but this was every single time! 3 months of crap service. Never coming back again.

The exercises they had me do at home in between visits were clear and effective. They made changes as needed. Alisha was the primary technician who worked with me, and she was great. Other individuals worked with me as well over the time I was under their care. Everyone was friendly, professional and made the overall experience to be great. I would highly recommend them.

No paper to use as barrier between patient and tables - you must request a towel each time. Love the staff but I don't know why the lack of preventive higiene .
