I've visited this skilled nursing facility several times visiting my friend's mother…read more Each time I've visited it has been a pleasant occurrence. Double room occupancy. Clean facility. Quiet like a hospital, but not as quiet as a library. Polite employees. Knowledgable personnel. There was only one incident regarding my friend's mother here; but it was an accident & something that could've happened Anywhere, USA. The care that's given here is definitely outstanding & to be commended.

My father is being discharged from hospital and has a referral into facility since last Friday 6/5…read more Here it is Tuesday 6/9 and we thought today would be the day we were transferred, it being a long process we figured it would take a few days. So the insurance approved the stay today, at Tuscany Village. So we call Tuscany village and they say they haven't gotten the approval yet. Our case manager at the hospital calls and finally gets the story straight and Tuscany Village does not have a bed!!! They knew this all day and informed our case worker of it at 2:45pm. This is completely unacceptable; dishonest and very greedy. I understand they did not want to lose the business but there is a very real person on the other end of this situation and they have pushed back his rehab by at least another 48 hours, due to having to get another approval. Please find other options for your loved ones, these folks were dishonest with us before we even stepped foot in the building. I am exploring options on how to report to Medicare. This should not happen to anyone already going through a health crisis.

My personal experience with Select Physical Therapy was not an overwhelming endorsement…read more 1) The billing department is just lazy. My surgeon sent over an order for PT. The billing department was to lazy and  incompetent to get the right code for it to be approved by my insurance. They literally told me it was my responsibility to handle not theirs. I discussed it with my surgeon, whom was beyond fed up, and he finally wrote out the PT order (again) and he put the code on it. NOT THE SURGEONS RESPONSIBILITY!!! 2) The front desk is extremely rude and anything but professional. They need serious training in Customer Service. More Importantly, the sign on the front door says; "Masks Required." However, they just stroll in with coffee in hand and not wearing a mask. Once they put down their coffees and purses then they walk over and get a mask. The old phrase; "Do as I say not as I do" Disgraceful and at this point what is the difference. If they have COVID-19 they have already spread it throughout the office. They should be setting a clear and concise example by walking through the front door already wearing a mask. That is the appropriate standard to set as employees for the patients. 3) My PT order was for specific hand therapy. However, instead on concentrating on the specific area for PT. I received all kind of exercises to do at home that would actually cause more harm than good. I showed this paper work with the exercises to my surgeon and he could not believe it. MORE HARM THAN GOOD!!! So, I switched to a different PT hoping for better results. Instead, what I received was a PT giving me a diagnosis on my hand. The PT is completely unqualified to give that diagnosis. I told my surgeon the PT's diagnosis and he immediately called and spoke to the PT to ensure he handles the PT appropriately based on the surgery. The PT had multiple patients to work with at the same time during my one hour session. I maybe got 20 minutes of PT. The PT had 3 different exercises and only wanted me do these 3 times a day and 8 reps of each. The PT wanted me to come a couple of times a week to get the most out it. The most out of what? Racking my insurance and taking my co-pay. My surgeon wanted me to really work hard on my PT. Pushing my hand so I could get the very most out of the PT to heal my hand. I spoke at length with my surgeon and I am actually doing more PT at home with better PT tools and getting better results. In fact, I have done in 3 months what most patients would take 6 months to do. I can not in good conscience recommend Select Physical Therapy based on my personal experience. Any response from Select Physical Therapy is 100% superfluous.

My first experience with this place was when my provider's office sent them a referral and the…read morereferral went to the wrong office so that office was asked to forward it to the correct office when they contacted me and they informed me they would. I thought I would hear from them like I did from the first office whom was extremely eager to contact me and try to get me in for an evaluation, but that never happened. So, I took upon myself to find their number and call them to see if they had received the referral to which their receptionist informed me that they had the information there. So I asked when I could schedule something and the lady says it would be 6 weeks away, WOW!!! I schedule the visit and when it finally gets here they charge me my $40 copay for a visit because it was an evaluate and treat session. When I told the woman that the therapist didn't provide any treatment whatsoever, that she barely got through the evaluation/assessment so I didn't under them charging me. I told her my understanding was that any time I came in to be evaluated for therapy it should be free and again she reiterated that it was because it was evaluate and treatment. At my very first actual appointment I check in and I sit and wait and the receptionist just up and runs to the back saying, "Oh my God, I forgot!" But never bothered saying what she was talking about until she came back 10 minutes later and told me that my therapist had called in sick and that I would be working with somebody else and that they would be up shortly. I also recall the list of items that was provided by my provider that she wanted to be done during therapy and zero, none, not a one has been addressed or worked on during our sessions so far by the therapist and I feel like I'm just floundering around pressing my tightened abs and glutes into the back of the chair lol. I began writing this review on 11/14/2023 and all this had happened. After 11/20/2023 I quit going to PT with Select because after the 11/14 appointment I notified the therapist that I had been pushed too hard and that I had gone home that evening and developed severe muscle cramping to the point that I couldn't get out of some of the cramps for over an hour at one point. When I was at therapy on 11/20/2023 the therapist only asked me if I had contacted my physician's office to let them know about what had happened to me and about my new symptoms. I informed them that I didn't feel like what was being doing was effective and that I felt like I was being hurt. I went back to PT on 11/27/2023 and was put through the same painful exercises and decided I couldn't return anymore.
