My husband and I found Dr Raisis to be very friendly, respectful and great bedside manner. I am very, very picky about who my doctors are, and I immediately felt very comfortable with Dr Raisis. In the recovery room I heard staff talking about him, and they had nothing but good things to say about him. In my book, if medical staff speaks highly of a doctor, that is who I'm going too see! Dr Pritchett made a good choice!! Two wonderful doctors, and this morning, I'm sore but no real pain!! I was told to expect lots of pain post op...doesn't seem to be happening! And I credited those two doctors and the great staff at Swedish Ortho Insitiute!!

I don't live in Seattle anymore so this review is rather overdue, but I am currently reviewing my…read morerecords from Dr. Raisis and his colleague Dr. Steege, which reminded me I wanted to review them here. Dr. Raisis in particular was completely disinterested in my case; he was never receptive to anecdotes that would help explain my symptoms (in fact, he outright said he had never seen my particular issue in his career, when in fact it is a fairly common issue and relatively easy to see on diagnostic images, according to information I've gathered and surgeons I've met in the meantime). For a few years I defended him, saying that while his bedside manner was terrible, he was a good "mechanic." That changed when I was diagnosed and treated for a rare infection that Dr. Raisis had neglected to warn me was a possibility of the last surgery he had done on me. In fact, Dr. Steege had seen me while I was trying to get a diagnosis, and he correctly guessed what was wrong but dismissed me saying that couldn't be the case. By the time my infection was diagnosed, there was an imminent threat of kidney failure (yes, stemming from a neuro issue!). I would not recommend Dr. Raisis or his colleague Dr. Steege. Terrible customer service, and negligent doctors with little interest in cases they do not find compelling.

Used the automated system to cancel my first appointment with Dr. Waterman - 3 days before my…read morescheduled appointment (On Monday - my appointment was Thursday). Clearly the system didn't work as I got a form letter regarding my 'no show'. However - what really upset me was the personalized note I received at the bottom of the form letter: "We are very busy in the clinic and need appointment slots for other patients. We appreciate that you not make appointments you can't keep" It was signed by Dr. Waterman - not sure if she or her office wrote the note. Either way it was in bad form to write a shame note at the bottom for a new patient. I will definitely not be seeing her/or anyone at pacific hill if this is the way they treat new / existing patients. Their systematic mishap/bug results in a personalized nasty gram? Not that their office cares as they are so busy. Its hard enough to find a doctor, let alone one you can trust - not going to trust someone who felt the need to shame me before meeting me- or doing their homework that their systems were down. Pretty sure that is why Form Letters exist - to avoid someone writing their own personal feelings and making customers (because its America, we pay for treatment) angry or feel as though they can't entrust the individuals in who we place our most intimate needs.

Dr. Waterman was recommended to me by my former boss when I needed a new doctor, and both my…read morecoworker (at the time) and I both ended up seeing her... so our entire office was getting treated by Dr. Waterman. For good reason! She is friendly, very intelligent, and I feel comfortable speaking with her about any concerns or questions without it being awkward. It also helps that things are explained in ways that make sense, not in a bunch of medical gobbledygook. Sometimes she is a little hard to schedule, as she is obviously very busy, but she is competent and definitely someone I would recommend.

Waited 30 min and saw the doctor saunter into the office - I can't believe he wasn't even THERE. They call us in 5 minutes later. Not a good first impression. The guy was nice enough, but the problem was he couldn't give a definitive answer as to what we should do. He said it might grow back normally, it might now - might have to get surgery. The finger might be infected - probably wasn't, but if it was we'd be in big trouble (sounded a bit like a scare tactic to get us to do surgery). He ended with - "You're a mom - you've got mom instincts, you'll make the right decision." Well, if that were true, I wouldn't be in the your office right now! Anyway, left the office thinking I'd definitely need a second opinion. Follow-up - did go somewhere else for a second opinion where they did know what they were talking about and everything worked out. Recommendation - Don't go here.

Dr. Klimisch did my hip surgery about 4 months ago and at that point in time I was having problems with the communication (lack there of, actually) and I never said anything at the time. Appointments ran late, he was taking phone calls during my appointment, sometimes in front of me and I just felt like he didn't care or feel like I was a priority. Well, after our chat I understand why that was happening (staffing shortages) and I feel like he has an understanding of the problems that I was having, AND more importantly, the genuine interest and drive to fix it. So with that being said, I'm diggin' him. My hip surgery went very well, he made sure that I didn't put myself in any situation where I would have an opportunity to re-injure myself i.e. starting PT too early. And now I'm feeling like I'm better than ever. He really gave me back vertical experiences, the opportunity to go on adventures with my husband and truly, my life. Now, I would recommend Dr. Klimisch. If any problems crop up, tell him! He does care about his patients and you will soon see that for yourself.

It is also easy to get an appointment in case of emergencies.

I have been one of Lynne's patients for years. She remembers me and is proactive with my health…read morecare. If I have questions, I can send an email and she responds quickly. She loves her work. When I have a health issue, she is very responsive to my input. We make decisions together. I am not told what to do; instead we discuss all of the options and come up with a plan. She also knows when to have my health issues looked at by a specialist. I have no angst when I schedule an appointment. I know that I will be receiving her best effort in my health care. I honestly don't have a negative thing to say about Lynne.

Please save yourself some grief and have your surgery done elsewhere…read more Doctor Brakstad made a careless mistake on my surgery and caused me to be in the hospital for 2 months instead of a week for an ileostomy. When I was released he promised me I'd be put back together in 6-8 weeks. So at the 8 week mark, I called him and now he wants me to get a colonoscopy before I get put back together. So I had the colonoscopy April 1st and I call doctor Brakstad's office every week to try to schedule my final surgery and they say he's not here and that they'll take a message and get back to me. Well it's been 3 weeks and they haven't gotten back to me. Now I have to go through the hassle of finding somewhere else to put my intestines back together. I'm lucky I have such an understanding girlfriend.

The horrible performance of his staff drove me to find someone else to perform my surgery. When making appointment, I told the person I spoke with they would need to get hold of archived records from my earlier breast cancer treatment. She said, no problem, they would arrange that. Arrived for first meeting/consultation with Dr. Brakstad - no records were on hand. Left that meeting (on a Friday) having been told that on Monday I would hear from the plastic surgeon he recommends, and that we would move forward with scheduling surgery for the following week. By Wednesday morning, having heard nothing, I call the plastic surgeon's office to see if I can move things along. They have never heard of me, and tell me next week is now booked up. She'll check with Brakstad's office and get back to me. By end of that day, still have heard nothing. From anyone. I guess it's time to go back to the drawing board and find someone else to remove the cancerous tumor from my breast. I sure do hope the two weeks I've wasted on this disorganized operation are not the window of time when cancer cells will have a chance to migrate to other parts of my body.
