This place is a great healthy option after my workout at pure barre. It's a little expensive, but the ingredients are all whole foods and healthy. I usually like to add vanilla protein to my smoothie. I do wish they had the calorie information available, just so I could understand more of the ingredients and different smoothies. The service is friendly and my smoothie always comes out relatively quick. The smoothies without banana is definitely more a juice consistency unless you add ice. The inside is super cute with lots of seating and a barstool seating facing the main road. I've tried 3 different smoothies so far and the strawberry banana is my favorite so far. read more

This place is an Oasis in the desert! I was so happy to find a happy eating option in South Bend, in the university area. I was visiting and without a car my options were limited. My choice was the Green Smoothie Bowl (spirulina, banana, pineapple, strawberry and cashew milk) with blueberries, chia seeds, peanut butter and strawberries. It was fantastic and the keto coffee with grass-fed butter and coconut oil is one of my favorite cups of coffee anywhere. read more

Amazing place with an amazing staff. We got our service from Grace and Grace. Both were amazing with uplifted attitudes and great customer service. The drinks taste great and it is right on ( Eddy street ) which is a very popular street near Norte Dame college. This is a a perfect spot to get a healthy drink in you before indulging in everything else Eddy Street has to offer. They offer juices, açaí bowls, coffee, + smoothies. The only downfall with this place is that the juices are pre-made at their other location. Meaning you CAN NOT add or take from any ingredients! It was crowded in South Bend on a blustery, misty, cold game day, Saturday. Clemson vs Notre Dame. The wind was gusting 35 mph and tailgate tent setups had been banned for the day. That, coupled with the weather and a 7:30pm kickoff meant every bar, every Starbucks or Five Guys or refuge was packed. Except we noticed this little storefront and a few empty tables, Purely Pressed! It seemed like "just" a juice bar, but once we entered the smell of really good coffee hit us, a perfect idea! Inside was a welcoming warmth with several tables occupied by non-football fans studying on their computers (free wifi). There were plenty of green plants, contrasting against a brick inner wall and darker wooden tables, but our prime seat was sitting at a countertop bar right in the front window, people watching. People watching while drinking a freshly brewed hazelnut latte made with organic milk and coffee beans! No GMO's, no pesticides, no antibiotics, and really hot and tasty. They have a lot to offer in juices and smoothies and other healthy choices. But today, this was not only a well timed, non-crowded refuge, but was an excellent hot brewed latte! While in the South Bend/Notre Dame University area, my husband, son,and I just finished eating lunch at O 'Rourke's a few doors down. My husband and I are huge fans of green juice. We wanted a pick me up and I was so excited to see Purely Press! It's in a great location in their downtown area. Parking is free and available across the street in a garage. Upon arrival, the staff was very kind and welcoming. It was very clean and minimally decorated. Straight to the point which I liked. Delicious looking menu. My husband and I split a green juice with ginger and he got a turmeric/ginger immunity shot. It came premade so they just handed us a bottle and a container for the juice and shot. It tasted like they had great ingredients. The green juice portion was perfect to share. Overall, the staff was nice, the menu was great, the product was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the place was very clean. If ever back in the area, I would definitely come here again. This time I would explore a few different menu items. read more

This is a new juice and coffee shop with a great location on Eddy Street. The coffee is really good and really well priced but the juice, although delicious as well, is definitely over priced. $3 for a coffee ($5 for the most expensive coffee) vs $9 for a juice. When I heard this was opening on Eddy St, I was beyond ecstatic and it has been amazing. It is the perfect thing after Pure Barre, before class, or for weekend brunch. I've never ordered a juice, but both the smoothie bowls and smoothies have never disappointed. The employees are so nice and helpful and seating area is perfect to stop in with friends or to do work. While some complain that it is too expensive, I have never found a smoothie place of this caliber that is less expensive than Purely Pressed. I recommend Purely Pressed to all my friends! read more

The one juice I tried here was terrific, very fresh and high quality, raw and organic, in a glass bottle. Similar places are found a lot in the big cities. I got the beet/carrot/pear/ginger/apple and it was great. Your bloodstream can feel the difference between this and any store-bought juice, no matter how fresh. Something of this quality is going to cost more to make, obviously, so I'm not surprised that the price is high. But the reason I give just four stars: I'm concerned that for this particular location, the price is just TOO high. Locals can't afford it: I saw several people walk in and then walk out when they saw the price. Even most ND students are on strict budgets, and even they are gone for four months in the summer. I'm sure there are a few über-wealthy 1%-ers on campus who have no limits, and there are the rich donor families in town for the 6 home football games per year. They'll go here for sure. But I'm not certain that Purely Pressed will last at this price point. I'd suggest a slight drop. read more

I had been to the Granger location a few times and I love that they added one on Eddy Street. Such a great atmosphere and a lot of seating, which is nice. The last time I was there I got a smoothie and it was so good! It was a good price for the size of the smoothie. The service there was great. Very friendly employees! I was greeted when I came in and they got my smoothie out quickly. It is hard to find a spot in South Bend that has organic and healthy options, so I appreciate this place! I've been a huge fan of their Granger location, but it was too far for me to travel to on a regular basis. So happy they are now on Eddy Street, which is at least 10 minutes closer for me. The new location is bright and chic, menu is similar or the same. I generally get the blue majik bowl and it is super delicious. I've had the juices and salads as well- all fresh and tasty. Prices are generally higher for quality h ingredients, and having traveled to California and other states where they prioritize eating healthy, the prices at Purely Pressed did not surprise me. I've received a couple coupons by email (birthday and V-Day), this is a sweet bonus! read more

I would say the smoothie I had was fine (green spirulina) although it was solely banana flavored when it had other ingredients I would have liked to taste- pineapple, strawberries... the main issue I think is it is over priced for what it is. $9 for a smoothie is not something that will be a draw for most people, especially students who live in the immediate area. If the smoothie I had was more flavorful I would have thought less about the price. I might consider going back to try a coffee if I'm around there but definitely not something to go out of the way for. read more
