Thib's is authorized dealer for good brands like McClain Trailer, and carries supplies & parts for all types of trailers, plus hitch & safety gear. What a terrible experience.......I dropped off my boat after having a bearing burn out. Once the bearing blew, my hub messed up my spindle on the axle and the axle had to be replaced. They quoted me a "Vault" axle with a 2 week lead time. After week 3 of no communication, I decided to call and get a status update on my boat. I was told that they were still waiting on the axle to come in. On the Wednesday of week 4, I decided to call again and was then told that the first axle they ordered was too long, and that the replacement would be in by the Friday and my boat would be ready. I returned on the Friday to pick up my boat and found out that the second axle that they ordered was too short. Since the manager, "Shane", was no where to be found, I was told that I could meet with him on the following Monday to discuss the issues they were having on my boat. I returned on the Monday (Week 5) to discuss my boat and still the manager did not show up. The manager finally called me on the Tuesday saying the 3rd axle had been installed and my boat was ready. After 5 weeks of waiting for my boat and 3 axles later, it was finally ready. After telling them that I expected some sort of discount for them being severely late on the job completion and lying to the customer about why the job was taking so long, he proceeded to claim that I only wanted something for free and all that he could offer was half off the labor ($40) and an apology. If he were honest up front and told me that this job would have taken 5 weeks to complete, I would have never dropped the boat off in the first place. In regards to the hubs on my old axle, they were both in working condition when I dropped off the boat. When I asked for my old axle and hubs back, they did not have the bearings to one of the hubs. I highly recommend not using these people for any further business.I would get all of your axle work done at T-Boys on Congress or Claude's Trailers on Hwy. 14 in New Iberia. read more

Poor communication, poor workmanship and act like their customers are a bother. I dropped off an axle for repair, Shane said it would be ready in two days and that he'd call me when it was ready. 4 days later I called there and the older lady that answered the phone told me to call back when Shane would be available, no option for him to return calls I guess. 8 Days later and still no word, I called again and Casey said it was ready. I drove over to pick it up, I paid my bill and drove around the back to pick it up but there we obviously parts missing, there was no way to even attach my tire. Casey literally said "You wanted that on your axle?" Acting like I wanted something special like a way to attach a wheel to an axle. After 30 minutes of Casey trying to figure out what tools to use to properly install the parts, he put what I assume are the right parts onto the axle. Then said it was done, so since I had already paid and he said it was now done, I drove off. Then he calls me to tell me I didn't pay for the additional parts, so I drove back and promptly paid. All the while he acted like I was the problem, barely spoke any words of instruction on how to pay, when to pay or even an invoice to show me how much I owed. Such poorly trained employees, such poor communication with customers and if you have any other options you should find someone to do the work you need that actually cares about your business and can do it right the first time. I sure hope the work they did works as I have not yet attached the axle to my trailer... fingers crossed. read more
