After receiving several letters from lawyers, I decided to call a few and see what my options were and which prices were the best. Of the maybe 4-5 places I called, this firm was the most friendly and personable. Definitely plus that they also had the cheapest price. A couple days after gathering quotes I decided that I would go with Cotten Law Firm. I was able to go online and look up my case number and pay my fees all at once. Once I paid and electronically signed to allow Mr. Cotten to represent me, I was e-mailed a case number for the firm and a receipt. The day before my court date I received an e-mail and phone call from the firm to get more of my personal information to pull my driving record. That was also a pleasant and friendly interaction as well. I was told that Mr. Cotten would e-mail me the results the next day after going to court on my behalf. Around 1:30 on the day of my court date I received an e-mail from Mr. Cotten himself with the results. My ticket was reduced to an "Improper Equipment" charge! My insurance won't be affected and neither will my driving record. Such a relief! Since I paid upfront he also handled the court costs and fines as well. I didn't have to go to court or even to the office at all. There's also an option to pay for his services upfront and then you can handle your court costs within 30 or so days of your court date if you can't afford it all at once, which is great. He was also supposed to represent me on distribution of marital assets and again No Help at all. He drug it out for 13 months. He was a no show for 4 phone conference appointments. He never ask for evidence, or witnesses or discussed anything except money. He wanted to use the DV case for leverage of Equitable distribution and when I did what he ask me to do, he lied to me. unless it will benefit him financially he will NOT fight for you. They want to make as much money as they can to do as little as possible. He is evasive and manipulative and he Lies. If your kind they will run all over you. if you trust them they will use your Lack of knowledge about the law against you. It's a broken system. unless you are rich and can pay for the "extra" time it will take for them to actually collect evidence needed to fight for you then all you will get is the bare minimum. it's not about Truth or facts.
