    The crack in the neck.
    Roy M.

Larry provided quick, high-quality, inexpensive service for my Gibson Les Paul, which had a cracked neck. A job well done. No complaints. If I ever need guitar service again, I know where I'm bringing it. When I accidentally sent him double the quoted cost for repairs, I got in touch with him and he sent me back the extra amount I accidentally sent him very promptly.

This beautiful store is right next to the pinball museum. It's full of beautiful guitars and everything needed for them. If my guitar needed servicing, I'd definitely bring it here. We didn't buy anything, but we were treated very nicely. You can tell a lot about a store by the way you're treated even when you're not buying something. The vintage posters on the walls and rows of instruments are beautiful.

Repair of bridge on my Gibson guitar.

Larry repaired my Gibson guitar and re-strung my old time banjo. He can also re-hair violin bows as he is a luthier. But his incredible talent and experience with stringed instruments means he can breathe new life into any stringed instrument by his suggestion of string type and repairs that improve the sound. His work on my guitars, banjo, and violin were excellent. Just knowing the right string type for any particular instrument can make a huge difference in its sound. Contact Larry, you will not be disappointed.

I used Jacobsen Transfer to move my Knabe 6'4" mahogany grand piano out of my house to a piano…read morere-builder. They had to bring it down an outside double stairway, one stairway very narrow and steep. I have moved this piano three times before, both in New York City and then across the country. I last brought it into my house thirty years ago, and I know the weight and difficulty first hand as the original movers back then showed up with only two men. I had to assemble some neighbors to assist and bring it up the same stairs into the house. There were five of us, all untrained, yet we somehow made it. This time, Jacobsen correctly had the five men as needed, as well as the proper tools and clearly the experience to ensure the safe descent. It was like watching a well choreographed team as they worked together with singular guidance to bring it down to street level without a hitch. If I ever bring in another piano, I know who I'll call on again. Also note that we had to reschedule the job a few times due to wet weather, but they would not risk the move unless they could ensure a safe environment as well as having enough men for the job. While some lighter pianos could be moved with fewer hands, they well knew the size and weight of my piano required five and wouldn't attempt without, nor would they add any risk that might be caused by inclement weather; exactly the right protocols. Hats off to a great company and the team, and much thanks to all.

What can I say, I fell in love with this place the first moment I walked through the door. Sarina,…read moreBilly, and KK are some of the most down to earth folks you'll meet. They are not there to coerce you into parting with your hard earned remuneration; they are there simply to brighten your day. Should you ultimately decide you are there to purchase an instrument or piece of equipment, they will guide and advise you accordingly in making the ideal choice, based on YOUR needs, not theirs. The layout of this shop is systematized in such a manner that is easy on the eyes, a ubiquitous immaculacy, rarely found in a guitar shop. A complimentary coffee bar and hangout nook is such a welcome and beguiling feature. It's not difficult to imagine spending more time in this shop than one has budgeted for; and that's the point, you'll never feel anything but welcome to lounge about, test out some amazing gear, and enjoy all the store and its owners have to offer... Speaking of the owners, Billy's proficient skill with guitar repair has left me in awe. The first two guitars (Ibanez and Fender) I brought in were in need of some serious love. When I picked them up, I plugged them in and found they played better than what I had first purchased them or at any point after. The level of skill and care applied is immeasurable. He treats every instrument as if it were his own. This shop and its owners are a true treasure and a most welcome addition to the town of Petaluma. Do yourself a favor and stop by, you won't regret it. \m/
