I lost 60 pounds before on my own and I have done all those tests of BMI, RMR,body fat percentage etc before and I know what they mean. However, i am at a stage where i do not feel like counting my calories and doing cardio at the gym since i have been really busy, so I wanted to get more info about Next Level before I go. I called a toll free number and the person kept stating that she does not know any answers but she can schedule me for a free consultation or a $27 test consultation. I said I need to know more so she finally gave me the main office number. I called the main office to get info but the receptionist said that the "Dr" will discuss the program with me at the free consultation. Even though I knew this sounded fishy, I thought I'll try anyway. When I called to confirm the appointment they kept pushing for the $27 testing consultation. I refused saying I need to know what the program is about, but they kept pushing for the $27 consultation again and again. Another BIG FAT WARNING to stay away, but i still gave them the benefits of the doubt. I got to the office and it looked cheap, far from a medical facility, with a cheap self made infomercial of people who successfully completed the program. First question I was asked, are you sure you do not want the $27 tests consultation. I said NO, I want to learn about the program. After waiting 15 minutes, the receptionist (wearing scrubs as if she is a medical assistant, maybe she is!?) called my name and told me that she will let me watch a video and then the "Dr" will discuss with me. When I asked so you have MD on staff, she said no all are chiropractors!! Another flag, but what the hell, MD are not the only health professionals that know weight loss. NOTE: MY OUTMOST RESPECT TO ALL HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS. EVERYONE FILLS A UNIQUE ROLE IN HEALTH CARE. I get into a small room, with two cheap seats and a medium flat TV on a cheap DVD player. She turns on the TV, closes the door, and let me watch this cheap half ars made infomercial of power point. Half an hour of useless half scientific info without any indication of what the program is based on (diet, calorie counting, vitamins, nutritional, medication bases, hormones?! Nothing). After half hour of misery, they escort me back to the lobby where they ask me, so do you want to sign up!!!! Seriously?! I tell her, so is this the free consultation? She said yes, but we can do the $27 test consultation. I refused saying how will that help me if I do not know what is your program. I started getting angry. She said well everyone is different and we will customize your program. As I got more frustrated, the "Dr" told her to take me to a room. In the room, I ask at least give me the price so I know what I am getting my self into. She replies its different for each person, just like the dentist, he can't tell you until he examines you. I said, that's not true, the dentist will give a range price for any service, so at least give me a range. At that moment the "Dr" comes in and I said this is not acceptable, you drag me all the way here, without at least explaining things to me. He rudely replies, sir I did not drag you, you came by yourself. WELL HELLO, YOU STAFF NEVER ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS AND KEPT PUSHING FOR ME TO COME IN!?! He said that he does not want to offer his services to me, and I said I would not want it anyway. I have to admit by then my voice was raised because I am getting one lie after another and they are not even apologetic.
