I bought a watch strap from Hinds and the top of the strap cracked and the fastener came off and i…read moretook it back to the shop and the manager was shocking. I had my receipt and he said that it was my skin that had caused the damage???So it was not fit for purpose.How can my skin cause damage to the top of the strap? Eventually he reimbursed me and took the watch and chopped off the strap and chucked in in the bin including the metal part of the watch that you attach the strap to. I didn't notice until I went into another jewelers and they pointed out that part of the watch was missing. I went all the way back to Hinds, and showed him what he had done. He never once apologise.or smiled during the time I was in the shop. Shocking that people like this have jobs.His manner was appalling I will never visit Hinds again.

Their stuff looks great in their catalogues and under the bright shiny lights, but when you hold it in your hand the quality of craftsmanship is rather mediocre. If you're looking for a cheap standard pair of gold earrings, or something like that, and quality is not your main concern, then F Hinds will probably suit you just fine. It is also a good place to get things like watch batterys replaced as they charge one of the lower fees for the job and do just a good a job as any other jeweller.
