I had been using the two florists in Knoxville for occassional arrangements like funerals or hospital stays because I thought the cost of delivery from Melcher might add to much to the already high cost of sending flowers. Boy was I wrong. Its only $2 more than the florists in Knoxville. Now...here is why $2 is a small price to pay... I have Never got an arrangement from C' s florist that I liked. The flowers NEVER looked fresh, always have looked wilted. So I mostly used OTF. Then they changed hands for the umteenth time. The last arrangement I ordered from them was a small $35 fresh flowers sent to my granddaughter in the hospital.....horrible. yep that WAS the last arrangement I will be ordering from them. Last week a funeral was held in Melcher and so I made a trip to Melcher to order some flowers. I could have called, but I like to visit her shop, and i like the meat from her dads locker so I just drove over. The friend whos father's funeral I ordered the flowers for, loved them so much she texted me a photo. The arrangement was gorgeous! And, that arrangment only cost me $5.00 more than the total crap OTF sent to the hospital for my granddaughter. Sorry to be so long winded, but I am so pleased with City Floral, I just want other people to know there are other options besides the two so called florists in Knoxville.

Then I met her in person, and our design meeting was probably the most fun meeting I've had planning our wedding. Shelly actually designed florals for both my rehearsal dinner and wedding, and both designs were so unique and different! We had so many plans for beautiful, summery florals before our June wedding got postponed due to COVID. Despite our new wedding date being in December, Shelly made sure we had the original flowers we had planned for and literally had them FLOWN IN from South America! Our wedding guests were in awe asking how we had managed to get these florals in December. But that's Shelly for you. She went above and beyond for us to have the wedding we had originally envisioned. Overall our wedding weekend was extremely beautiful, and that is in a large part due to Shelly's creative and gorgeous designs. She really took my vision and turned it into a reality, the highlight of which was our jaw-dropping chuppah for our Jewish ceremony, which was later re-purposed for our reception (design and functionality = my favorite combination!). The arrangement I selected had some flowers that weren't readily available in February, and the website told me substitutions may be necessary, and I said ok, so was surprised when the owner, Candy, called me to offer some options: I could wait for new flower shipments to arrive, or she could use the freshest alternatives she had on hand, to be delivered the next day. I chose the latter, as time was of the essence, and was again surprised when she texted me a photo of the lovely arrangement she had put together, and a note that she had already delivered the flowers! Turned out, Candy knew the family the flowers were going to, which shows the strong connection she has with the community of Knoxville. I love supporting local businesses like this, and Candi's has been going strong for 42 years!
