There were not too many options when it came to tiles, so seeing a few more options before deciding would have been nice. The job took 4 days instead of 5. It moved along at a good pace. He has a closely-knit team of trusted partners, and that contributes to the consistent quality and speed of work. You could pursue a cheaper option like Home Depot, but they make no guarantee on their subcontractors' expertise, and what they can do is extremely limited (structural changes are a nonstarter). We'll be hiring Tom again no doubt.

So when we purchased a single family, he was our guy. He did a full and half bath reno, had subcontractors replace the roof and heating system with hot water tank built in. His hardwood floor guys are great, his painter as well. The kitchen was pretty much done but needed some work around the stove, he took out cabinets and added a vent hood. And then all the little things, like installing sconces, replacing doors and storm doors and ceiling fans. He replaced all outlets and most light switches. There's not much he hasn't done here and we trust him explicitly with electrical and plumbing. Yes, it takes a while sometimes. Our assumption is he has to have another job starting as he gets near the end of ours and works us in to finish it up. It's been worth it and we value him most nearly as a family member.
