I paid the $98 and then…read moregot charged again the following month and I looked at the receipt and it had me set up for a payment plan of $98 for the next few months even though I had paid it in full. I called the state department of revenue and they said to contact the people I filed my taxes through to get it fixed. I have tried to call them during their operating hours 6 times the past week and they said just to email them because it's no longer tax season and they wont answer their phone. No support for THEIR work after they filed for you. Goss also emailed me to send him the copy of the receipt of the payment and when they tried to charge me again and it didnt go through. When I sent him both the response I got was blatantly obvious. Their response was "This says the payment was rejected due to insufficient funds." Well duh I know how to read. Didn't look at the forwarded receipt attached to the email. Bottom line- I emailed them multiple times, got an obvious response to one, and the second response was "Just ignore the notices from the state", called them 6 times the past two weeks without a single answer until on the second email he said "BTW, the best way to get information to and from me in the tax off-season is email. I seldom answer the telephone." So do not expect any support post season if they mess anything up. Not to mention I get charged $35 every time the state tries to charge me and it doesnt go through, $25 penalty from the bank because I move money out of that account so theyre charging an account with no money in it, and if I just pay it then I am out an extra $392 that I will never get back from the state. Turbo Tax is the only place I will do my taxes from now on.

Turbo Tax had given me the runaround and passed me from one tax preparer to the next for a month if not longer, only to finally inform me that they could not prepare my returns. They said it was because I would not pass their quality process check or something to that effect, due to my books not being in the best order. Fortunately, they filed an extension on my behalf. I took that opportunity to seek help elsewhere. That's where Lesley came in. She's all about business, thorough, communicative, expressing exactly what she needed, via email and phone conversation when necessary. I initially thought Saxon's Bookkeeping was a startup business because her profile bio and makeup lacked what I normally see in business profiles from which I acquired services. But what she said in her bio drew my attention. She referenced how other CPAs charge an arm and a leg for their services and she was absolutely right. Her rates, however, were very reasonable, an obvious a selling point. Initially, I'd just planned to have her clean up my books. But when she offered to do my taxes as well and at such a reasonable rate, I couldn't refuse. To make a long story short, she cleaned up my books for my business in which I partner with other members. She cleaned up my books for my sole owned business. And she prepared the tax returns for both, as well, as for me personally. This was all at a rate much less than her competitors, including Turbo Tax. Now, I'm not the most savvy when it comes to this kind of thing. So, if at some point down the road I get audited, this review will obviously change.
