After the visit and follow-up, we were billed $602.49, and I still have not received a clear explanation for why a scheduled wellness visit was billed/processed in a way that left us with significant deductible charges instead of being covered by insurance. They do not let you call the billing department, so I first emailed billing about the issue on April 22. After no response, I followed up on May 1. After still not receiving an answer, I emailed again on May 12 just asking them to acknowledge they were receiving my emails. They finally responded on May 13, saying the issue had been sent to upper management and resubmitted to insurance. I had to follow up again on June 2 before receiving another brief response. At no point did I receive a clear itemized explanation or a direct answer to my main question: why was a pre-scheduled 4-year wellness visit not billed as a preventive wellness visit? At this point, I am out this money unless I pursue formal legal options to recover it. And now I need to find a new pediatrician as I would be stupid to work with this people again.

I watched people who came in after us go in. Finally someone comes out to the lobby to tell me they don't have the vaccines we need in stock but were hoping the vaccines would come in while we were waiting. I gave them another chance. Second time they didn't have official approval to give a vaccine AFTER making us wait again. Never heard of calling someone to tell them this before dragging their child there??? 3rd time we waited forever only to be told they had just given their last vaccine to another patient and would call us when it came in. That was in June. It's September now and still no call. Needless to say we have found a new pediatrician.

More importantly, she is a kind and compassionate person who truly cares about her patients and their families. It was quickly apparent that she was exactly the kind of pediatrician my wife and I wanted for our family. One of the things we appreciate most is how she includes both parents in every conversation.
