This is what you call an antique farmhouse decor store and they sell just that. The only thing I didn't spot was Jadeite to match the mix. There was one booth in particular that had some Avon glass decanters and figurines, every price on the tag was $10. If you go to any other antique shoppe, that price wouldn't match. There was some kitschy home decor that I considered buying, but the price wasn't right and the items here are more novelty to look at. Even the black and white photos of random people were $3 a piece. Most of them were not actual photos, but postcards that were ripped off of a host site. The "antique" store was more of a co-op shop for a photo booth. I noticed a round table that was affordable, but even the chairs sold separately for the "set". The store cashier didn't appear friendly to out of towners, but boy didn't I hear him greeting everyone else in the store and even the locals with a smile. Now, if you can't show hospitality across the board to everyone then this shop isn't my cup of tea. I was uninterested to even finish walking around the whole store.

It's a family business down to the china the meals are served on. The tea room is beautifully kept and inviting. Loved the sampler lunch with pimento cheese, chicken salad and cucumber dill sandwiches and great tomato basil soup too. Next time I will make sure to save room for dessert as well. I had iced tea but they had a very nice selection of Ahmad tea for hot tea. The owner and staff were absolutely lovely and even arranged a comfy little place next to our table for my friends baby boy to lie and play on while we ate. We enjoyed browsing the cute gift shop in the front of the building as well. Such a nice place to enjoy lunch and I look forward to going back!

This is the first time it has been used as a gift shop and tea room. Everything is authentic down to the antique plates, Silverware and stemware. Warm and cozy it's got country charm everywhere. Once you get to the back Tea Room you'll be given a simple menu to choose from and nothing on it is less than delicious. The hot tomato basil soup was served in a teacup. So cute!! With a generous portion of quiche for my main course, the side dish stole the show. The best broccoli salad I've ever eaten. I would highly recommend stopping by for a nibble and a shop. I would also recommend the peach tea and buttermilk pie. The menu may change as they repair their food fresh daily. You won't find food processors here, it's all done by hand with love.

I am a sucker for candles.. Usually, expensive ones! I did fine one I liked and purchased it, as well. The jewelry the store sells is one I have not personally heard of, however it is lovely. There were alot of home decor items downstairs and upstairs it is "cash only" setting and while I didn't go upstairs my stepdaughter so it's more of garage sale. The know about that. This is a bit of a drive from where I live in Texas, but it was well worth it. We were greeted by…read morethe owners and shown around. The wide variety of rocks, minerals, fossils, rough, and other lapidary materials is astounding. The "shop" consists of many buildings with stone paths and imbedded stone walkways connecting them. The one draw back of the store is that many of the buildings have stairs, and the area is uneven ground for the most part which can make walking a bit difficult. I bought several large specimens for both my collection and just for whimsy. I can safely say that this is the best rock shop in Texas. Unlike others, such as Nature's Treasures, there is no "metaphysical" undercurrent in the store. Johnson's is a musty, dusty, and at times messy experience, but well worth it. Rock shop of the old days at it's finest. And, if you want excellent home cooking with soul, eat at Florida's in Livingston. Fine food, generous portions and a great staff.
