I am writing to articulate serious concerns regarding the patient experience at MSK, Harrison,…read morespecifically pertaining to my scheduled appointments with my oncologist and subsequent infusion treatments. As a patient requiring frequent visits for blood work, and critical infusions, the efficiency and comfort of these visits are paramount to my ongoing care and well-being. All my experiences have been consistently characterized by excessively prolonged wait times, often extending two hours or more beyond my scheduled appointment times for both my physician and infusion therapy. This creates a deeply challenging and, frankly, disheartening situation, particularly given the already demanding nature of chemo treatments. A significant source of distress is the perception that patient safety and comfort, particularly for those with weakened immune systems like myself, are not being adequately prioritized. Being confined to crowded waiting areas for extended periods not only exacerbates physical fatigue but also presents a heightened risk of infection. The operational practices observed, such as seemingly pervasive overbooking and the resulting congestion in patient waiting rooms, strongly suggest that the current scheduling system is not effectively managing patient flow or capacity. This systemic inefficiency significantly detracts from the quality of care and transforms what should be a supportive and efficient medical environment into a source of considerable stress and anxiety. I am leaving MSK, Harrison and moving to an environment that is not only medically excellent but also compassionate, respectful of patient time, and prioritizes the safety and comfort of all individuals seeking care....unfortunately, this is not the place.

There's also an urgent care available on the ground floor. The building is many years old but is maintained well. The facility is clean and spacious. There's security guards throughout the facility at your service. The clinicians here provide great quality of care to their patients from my observation. I was here recently to grab a crew neck sweatshirt from the gift shop. The gift shop is a small but it contains all of the essentials that you need while being at a hospital.

Besides my superb top quality medical team of Surgeons and Oncologists, I found the Nurses go above and beyond in their work, providing genuine care with such grace and pure empathy, often tending to patients as if family. Let's take a moment to praise the nurses. This year, 2025 I am a twenty years cancer survivor and visit MSKCC annually for my check up. It's key to stay informed and hopefully catch symptoms as early as possible. Sending prayers for healing and blessings to those who are going through the journey of one of the most difficult of diagnoses. Let us hope and pray they find a cure someday soon. Wishing you and yours a blessed healthy happy Thanksgiving. Thank you

The appointments are well organized, and my doctor or nurse practitioner always gets back to me promptly when I leave a message. There are several different doctors that work out of this office, but my oncologist is wonderful. I highly recommend this office. At times the wait can be long, but that is because they are dealing with other patients that may have a serious issue at the immediate moment. Both my mother and I have had success with the treatments prescribed by this office.

I want to say that HOPE and all the staff has led me to being cancer free, NICOLE FERNANDEZ has taken care of me at my WORST, she was there for me while I was going through treatment. Always was caring and stayed with me until the Dr. came in and supported me. When I was finally Cancer free, we hugged and cried together. And as a volunteer we are still in contact daily. I LOVE everyone at HOPE. I have been going to HOPE for over 2 years. I met DR. KAUMAYA at my lowest point when I was diagnosed with Cancer, she was so caring, kind and compassionate, SHE thoroughly explained everything to me and the treatment I would be going through. SHE continued to treat me with love and care through my whole journey. ALWAYS smiling and put my mind at ease. After surgery, the BEST WORDS I HEARD FROM HER ARE YOU ARE CANCER FREE, we hugged, and it was a special moment. I am a volunteer and when she is not busy, I stop to see her, and I am always greeted with a smile. HOPE at Englewood Health is THE BEST ever!!!!
