I have been a loyal patient with PTCG for many years, during which significant financial investments have been made into your practice through both my personal funds and my insurance provider. Recently, I was diagnosed with kidney stones and became violently ill, which forced me to cancel and reschedule my monthly refill appointment. Due to the limited availability at your office, my appointment could not be rescheduled for weeks. As a result, I have been without my necessary pain medication for over a week, with another week still to go before I can be seen. When I called to request a temporary 7-day refill to bridge the gap until my appointment, my request was abruptly denied based strictly on policy, without any consideration for my circumstances. The lack of compassion and flexibility makes me feel like a number rather than a patient. I strongly urge PTCG to reconsider its current approach to patient care. I suggest instituting a policy that allows patients with documented extenuating medical circumstances to be accommodated for brief refill appointments at the start of the day. Care and compassion should be the priority. I hope you will review this matter and take steps to ensure that long-term patients facing medical emergencies are treated with the necessary empathy and support.
