Lovely Thai food, I have been here twice and the first time I came the service was good and the…read morefood was very high quality. I really loved the steamed seabass dish, and the chicken Tom Yum soup was also good. The fish cakes were alright, a bit mushy and bland in taste but not bad. However, the second time I came with a bunch of colleagues, there was a blonde waitress (called Tracy apparently) who was horrible. She cursed us, was the rudest of rudest I had ever encountered so much so that I we had to directly call the manager. It was like watching a TV show at how rude a waitress could be, bad service on steroids. When I asked for the bill, she replied "are you done staring you spoilt brats" in the presence of the manager, which was a real shock to us as customers. My friend politely asked whether we were getting our starters together with the main course, she said that we are "at the back of the queue because we took blimmin' two hours to order". Also, she had these rants behind the counter about one of my friends who was late due to getting caught up at work, then threatened to take one of the tables away if she did not come in the next five minutes. Bad language, slamming dishes, snapping whenever we ordered anything, ranting behind the counter and countering everything with a rude sarcastic remark... it was like something you would only see on TV, so that fact that this was happening in real life just bewildered me and my friends. One of my Thai friends was a regular and knew the manager who was very nice. She apologised to us a lot and removed the service charge (as we were a group of twelve). It was a real pity as the food was so good but we were bombarded by TV Drama style rudeness of this Tracy that it made one of my friends upset and left me shocked to the point that I was lost for words.

Popular (and therefore busy) Indian restaurant in the centre of Poulton, just up from the train…read morestation, I tried this place once (for a work's meal) and can safely say that I won't be going back. The food itself was perfectly acceptable, it was the rushed service and the cramped tables that put me off. We all felt that we were just being force-fed as quickly as possible so that the next lot could be brought in. A bit like the owners trying to maximize their income without any thought for the punter. If you want a more relaxed Indian meal with a bit more quality, and less of a rush, try Saffron a few doors along on the same street.

Whilst I did order a Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi it would have been more economic to stuff ten chilli's down my throat instead and still obtain the same 'flavour'. The only thing I actually enjoyed about the meal was the Garlic Naan; however this is merely a drop in the ocean considering I am an avid CURRY lover. I can't speak for the restaurant service itself so whether the food is cooked differently I don't know from reading the baffling reviews above. There are two other better Indian restaurants/takeaways in the area (respectively whom I will not promote on this restaurants page) that I have had no problems with and recommend.
