The downstairs restroom outlets at a property we own suddenly stopped working…read more The bathrooms themselves don't have GFCI outlets, but we tried resetting all the GFCIs we could find in the house with no luck. That's when I started calling around for help. Most places I called were quick to ask what was wrong and immediately quote me a fee just to come out. I was considering one of them until I spoke with Meigs. He was awesome. He told me he offers free quotes over the phone, but he didn't just give me a quote. He actually tried to help me troubleshoot the issue right then and there. He spent about 10 minutes on the phone with me, calmly walking me through step-by-step instructions. He suggested there might be another GFCI hidden somewhere else in the house or even in the garage. The garage hadn't even crossed my mind, but it made sense since the restrooms are closer to that side of the house. Since we don't live at the property, I wasn't there at the time to test it. I told him we'd try it when we were back there later in the week. I must've sounded a little flustered because he kindly said, "When you get there, call me if you need me," offering to walk me through everything again if necessary. Sure enough, when we checked the garage, there it was, a GFCI outlet we hadn't noticed before. We reset it, and everything worked like a charm. There was power again in the restrooms downstairs. Thanks to Meigs, he saved me at least $350 of the visit and solved the issue in 10 minutes over the phone. He is writing me an invoice, and refunding me $300, which is better than a complete loss, although I am still out $200 and another electrician will have to replace it all during an upcoming kitchen remodel (which is what prevents me from having the service man just re-do his work). As for the restroom situation, there is proof of your technician entering and exiting the restroom, and immediately afterward urine was left on the toilet seat and bathroom floor. That mess was not there beforehand. Calling it an "allegation" instead of addressing the concern respectfully is disappointing. I shared my honest experience as a customer. Professionalism is not just about completing a job it's also about respecting someone's home, cleanliness, and basic courtesy while inside it.

I spoke with many contractors, and almost all of them sent salespeople who gave generic answers or tried to push cookie-cutter solutions that clearly didn't fit my setup. Carlos was completely different. From the moment he arrived, it was clear he wasn't a salesperson -- he's an engineer, and it shows. He took the time to deeply understand my system, reviewed actual spec sheets on the spot, and immediately identified issues that other contractors completely missed. Multiple companies told me Hyundai panels would work fine. Carlos checked the amperage limits, applied proper safety margin calculations, and clearly explained why those panels would not work with my EcoFlow system -- saving me from a costly mistake. In my humbled opinion, you will not find a better electrician than those who work for the small family owned (Three B Electric) I had our 1939 home upgraded to 200 amp service, as well as numerous other upgrades for some remodelling a bathroom, the garage and couple of bedrooms. In his initial visit, which was to connect after PG&E disconnect to upgrade the line to 200 amp. The PG&E's technician was late. So, on his own time, Javier had to wait for more than 3 hours in front of the house in his truck to make sure that we will have power soon after the disconnect/connect took place by the PG&E technician. And there and then, I knew and understood the work ethics, high standards and the professionalism he demonstrates to his customers and his profession. Javier's estimates were detailed, competitive and left us knowing exactly what to expect. The work was started the exact time and day that was promised. He started and finished each day like clockwork. Before leaving, he would clean up, remove all trash and walk through the progress for the day. The level of professionalism and courtesy was always at 10 out of 10. Aside from the stellar day-to-day experience, I would consider Javier a sage and an artist when it comes to wiring. Knowing a bit about electrical myself, I had plenty of questions to ask and he was eager to share his more than ten years experience with me. I just want this to be right." My experience with Three B Electric Inc. has been exceptional. I discovered this company through the Tesla portal for certified Electrical Contractors. When I contacted Javier, he was very easygoing and accommodating in scheduling an appointment. I had previously encountered an issue with a non-licensed contractor who was unable to schedule an electrical inspection due to the city of Livermore's restrictions on issuing permits to such contractors. Another thing that is totally unacceptable is I was given an Estimate according to # of fixtures not # of hours. Your works were in and out all day to help another job. Why should I pay for that. I was still understanding because they never mentioned they were charging me by the hour. They never got any of my signature in the work completed or provided me with any paperwork prior to leaving.

In the work these guys did in my house they lived up to their name. They were professional - be it the preparation of the work area by putting drop cloths or discussing alternatives or suggesting changes - they knew what needed to be done in the most optimum way. They followed usual Covid protocols and always wore mask - at least when I was around. They did quite a bit of work for me and took three days to finish (which was a day sooner than their initial estimate so I was happy). They installed for me: 1. 35 Recess Lights - They recommended the new low profile Halo brand LED lights with adjustable color temperature which was an excellent choice. Their estimate included the material costs and I though it (the price) wasn't too bad 2. 4 Ceiling fan mounts (only mounts & wiring) 3. 3 220V-30A connections on separate circuits. One was for Electrical Water Heater, One was for Level-2 Charging (involved moving existing wiring and add an outlet inside garage), and one for electric dryer (we had gas) that involved some routing through garage ceiling. 4. Add an exhaust fan in master bath that didn't have any! I had a minor last minute request to add an ceiling outlet for track lights and they didn't charge me for it! What impressed me most was the way they optimized the wiring so that least number of holes would need to be cut for routing the wiring. They navigated attic space with ease when it was an option and so they didn't cutout a single extra hold in the ceiling or wall upstairs where there was some attic access available. When they patched the wiring holes it was very clean and they reused the circular cutout so that only minimal pasting/texturing/painting effort was needed (see picture). Ryan was main contact man and he was good at communicating and responding. Ryan, Dan and Matt were the team that did the work and they were all friendly and easy to talk to. I would highly recommend these guys for any big or small project.
