Doshi House is a popular coffee shop and cafe located on Emancipation Ave. I finally got the chance…read moreto stop by in the morning for a coffee before work and was surprised to find it almost completely full, many of the customers being students. Not quite sure what to expect, I was pleased to see that it's completely plant-based including the pastries and no extra plus charge for alternative milks (praise!) I ended up ordering their pistachio latte which had a really rich, bold espresso note and a sweet cardamom finish at the bottom of the cup. I would definitely get this again but might try to stir it before drinking for a more even flavor distribution. In terms of the setting, there's lots of small tables and couches to work and study with either a small group or alone. They also have a back patio with additional seating, board games, and even a printer which can be hard to find in this day and age. Overall the vibe is relaxed and casual. Finally, while I had to wait about 30 minutes to order and receive my drink, I had some time to watch their workflow and would offer some suggestions for improvement to speed up their service. The staff all clearly put a lot of care into preparing each drink and were doing the best they could to move quickly, but the layout of the back counter area is fairly inefficient. To start, the ice well for cold drinks is on the complete opposite side of the register away from their espresso machines. This added a lot of steps for the staff to prepare iced coffee drinks. Secondly, the straws were also quite a reach for the staff across the counter, also by the ice well. Finally, the order retrieval process is not the best. There are no names written on the cups and customers are sometimes in the bathroom or outside on the back patio when their order is ready. It can be hard for the staff to locate the right customer or if the drink gets left on the counter, it's hard to know what it is and who it is for. Overall, a pleasant (plant-based!) discovery but hoping they might consider a few steps (pun intended) to reduce the strain on their staff.

It would be really great for a study spot! The coffee menu has a good amount of specialty drinks. I got the pistachio latte, which is ground pistachio with cardamom, and I got it with vanilla syrup. Every first Tuesday of the month (don't quote me on this, check their instagram!) they have free drinks covered by Frost Bank, which is very nice. Lines can get long though so come quick, right at 8!

There is plenty of seating indoor and outdoor, which is great because this spot is quite popular. They have two small lots but also plenty of street parking. There's WiFi and outlets throughout, however sometimes the WiFi gets too crowded so it takes a while to connect. Be mindful that you can work anywhere except for the bar. The service is great, they text you when your order is ready and they even say your name in a singsong way lol. I like that they have a new seasonal flavor to try each time I come. I usually get a chai or matcha with whatever the new flavor is. They have ice cold water as well. I typically make my own breakfast tacos when I come here and they're always pretty good. LOVE their fries! It's funny that some of the people that work there will remember you by your order. When I bring others, they enjoy the food. My friend had the patty melt which she said was great.

So after my meeting I asked if they worked they're which they responded yes and let them know that it was inappropriate how loud and close they were when I was there first and they could've atleast beeen courteous enough to say hey we're about to do a photo shoot and could get noisy etc Only 1 of the 3 apologized and the other 2 literally looked as if I were the issue so with that being said I'll never be back but they promote themselves as a workspace .. so try to considerate of your patrons that are working One lady offered a gift card but that a service industry cop out especially when the response is "I'm sorry you felt that way" lol it wasn't a feeling it was literally happening in real time .. I didn't feel you were talking through my whole meeting right next to me .. it was happening

The staff was incredibly friendly from the moment I walked in. I ordered a churro latte with whipped cream and it was absolutely delicious. I also grabbed a blueberry muffin, and they warmed it up perfectly. The outside had a slight crisp while the inside stayed soft and moist. The atmosphere is what really sold me. There are cute outdoor tables, cornhole games, fun artwork throughout the space, and a welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. I pulled out my laptop and got some work done comfortably, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover they also serve alcoholic beverages and stay open later in the evening. It feels like a coffee shop and neighborhood hangout all in one. Whether you're looking for a place to work remotely, meet friends, enjoy a coffee date, or spend time with family, I highly recommend checking this place out. I'll definitely be back!

Stopped by CoffeeTrend to try some coffee and a cocktail and was surprisingly disappointed…read more I saw mixed reviews about this coffee shop online, but I'm always open to forming my own opinion. As a coffee lover with an adventurous palate, I was excited to give it a try. Unfortunately, this experience was unrewarding. We ordered three drinks the Anna's Special, iced white chocolate almond latte with almond milk, and an iced pistachio vanilla latte with almond milk and none of these drinks lived up to their names nor the listed ingredients that were listed. The coffees in my opinion were flavorless, watery, and underwhelming. We picked a cocktail at random to try which was the Anna's Special and trust me there was nothing special about this drink other than the prices. This establishment has some really good price options when it comes to coffee, cocktails, pastries, wines, and other beverages. The barista's were very friendly, welcoming, and sweet. The restaurant offered indoor and outdoor seating with cute colorful pictures, artwork, and signatures on the wall. Would I return? Maybe not
