Why 4 instead of 5 stars: We had a situation for which I had tears about a reported lie, one that I thought held truth only because management is very nice. My other son, though, proved to me the truth, resulting in his brother's life not changing significantly. The biddies don't care though, although they might even mention how "concerned they are for children" in their veiled threats. (Yeah, right, ha!) And they'll ruin your children's lives in a heartbeat for the reward of a warm, inviting voice "caring about them" on the other end of the phone line. After all, such care is a soothing caress after a child has dared not to respond to one of those super-quiet "hello"s. Here's the trick to avoid this... and to the complaining biddies: I'm on to you! As an older mom, I'm in your age group or super-close to it. Younger mamas, to beat them at their fantasy game of turning all these campgrounds back to their dream of "55+," we need to be on guard! In fact, since our terrorized day in hell, I've busted a few of them so far, with pleasure!! Stay on them, watch who watches your children - and call 'em on it! These types get downright offended if a child happens to miss the cue of saying "hi," so it's up to us parents to give 'em the "social interaction" they so crave for - and if you don't, then they'll "call the office" for sure. So, parents, come on out; it's tons of fun when `the lie` gets shouted (or whispered, in some cases) at your child, and, ha, you're right there around the corner from the perp's view to answer in a clear, strong adult's voice. Know the truth, see the truth, and then answer to it boldly. Your children will love you even more, and really, their joy is why we pay these fees anyway!

Must have been lots of problems with the place. I left in November. But living in the park was good. It is well kept and quiet. Especially in the winter. I just wish Florida worked out better for me but back working in Manhattan and loving it!

This once was a really nice resort that we gladly called home. About 2 years ago management changed…read moreand it has since spiraled down to being a glorified trailer park. There really aren't any enforced rules and it's become a smokers and tokers paradise. You honestly cannot escape the smoke, anywhere. People smoke all around the Tikki bar, on the dancefloor, everywhere at the pool ( even in the tiny no smoking section) and vape inside the clubhouse. You actually can't get into the clubhouse or the bath/shower house without wading through second hand smoke. The premium RV sites back onto the pool so be aware that you'll be smelling smoke of all kinds all day, every day. There used to he a great manager and an entertainment director who kept things in line. Sadly they both quit after a new owner took over. Although there is a new manager, there is little to no management, certainly nobody follows any rules as there is no enforcement. It's now self governing by largely permanent residents with a few semi permanent or short term people. The concensus is that smoking everywhere is okay and we were told that If we didn't like it we should leave, or hold our breath until we don't care. I think the entertainment budget has dried up and what entertainment there is, is a product of a few talented residents. We would love to return if Eden was returned to it's former glory, but it seems that those days are long gone.

As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by framed photos of celebrities ranging from musicians to athletes who have dined here. Even the Stanley Cup has made an appearance. The atmosphere is very old-school Italian--dimly lit, cozy, and intimate. The menu isn't particularly extensive and leans heavily toward cream-based sauces. For appetizers, we ordered the Avocado and Shrimp and the Insalata Caprese. The Caprese was solid, with a generous portion and fresh ingredients. The Avocado and Shrimp, however, was swimming in a sauce that wasn't the cocktail sauce we were expecting, which made it less enjoyable. For our entrees, we chose the Duo of Filet Medallions and the Linguini al Granchio, which featured a nice portion of lump crab. One thoughtful touch was that, since we were sharing, the kitchen plated both dishes for us rather than making us swap plates at the table. We finished the meal with a lemon dessert that was a nice way to end the evening. Overall, the food was good and the service had some nice touches, but the pricing felt excessive for what we received. After tip, dinner for two came to nearly $380, which is hard to justify given the overall experience. While I can appreciate the history, atmosphere, and reputation of Donatello's, the value simply wasn't there for me.
