    Sandwich Bar - Crazy Pastrami

"The absolute epitome of an epic late-night meal."…read more With Francisco's platinum grade precision and finesse, the classic crispy is deemed locally as the official schnitzel sandwich of Kew Gardens Hills. A perfect crispy coat around two colossal chicken breasts tucked away in a fresh baguette with vegetables of your choice and two delicious homemade sauces. The masterpiece is then toasted to create a finished product so supremely balanced, you'll ask your self later why you hadn't bought more. The reason why sandwich bar is so legendary is because: 1. They're open late. So your late night munchies can always be satisfied. 2. They are consistently on point. There is no second guessing what you're going to get. It will be an epic schnitzel sandwich time and time again. 3. Boris, Sarah, and Caesar (the epic team of workers) always hook it up FAT. Needless to say, if you haven't stopped by sandwich bar for a crispy schnitzel, you haven't truly lived yet.

I am truly confused by all of the positive reviews about this neighborhood sandwich shop. I knew to…read moreexpect a "hole in the wall" kind of vibe, which I can forgive if the food is good. Unfortunately, it was not. Originally wanted a corned beef wrap-they didn't have corned beef. Fine. I asked what the difference is between pastrami and "crazy pastrami" and was told "it's the pickles they put it in and the craziness they do in the kitchen cutting it up". What that means remains unclear, but for $0.50 I went with the crazy pastrami. For the vegetables, I asked for lettuce, mushrooms, and black olives. The ingredients look like they've been sitting out for a few days, certainly not refrigerated. And they were put in a side-dish container with the mustard I asked for put on top then brought to the back to be incorporated into the wrap? Strange. The wrap itself was difficult to eat. I ended up not even bothering with the vegetables as they were not enjoyable to taste. I have no idea what white sauce is all over the ingredients, as it was nothing I asked for. The pastrami was minimal in quantity and even this was meh. All of the restaurants in this area have a slight upcharge for being kosher, which I don't totally understand. But in the end I truly regret spending $17.50 on this meal.

The chicken had a great crunch, stayed tender, and wasn't overcooked. The seasoning is so addicting and the mozzarella still had a nice cheese pull too. Forgot to take a photo. * Delivery arrived neat, not sloppy. * The food looked cared for and fresh. * Hit the spot for my fried chicken craving. * I don't live nearby, but if I did, I'd probably be here all the time. I've only ordered delivery, so I can't speak to dine-in.

None of the other fast food places like Wendy's or Popeyes would go above and beyond for their mistake. Very much appreciated. The tenders and sliders use the same chicken, but sliders come with some Coleslaw inside. I recommend the medium spice level. They use a nice rub that's not too spicy. I'm guessing there's also hint of sugar that makes it so good. I would probably choose tenders over sliders since the buns on sliders masks the tastiness of the chicken. Fries were crinkle fries. Solid 5/5. My daughter loved Dave's sauce, which is good because I was afraid it would be spicy. Overall, pleasantly surprised and will come back!

This food is delicious. It's freshly made to order and takes several minutes before it comes out. The dining chicken tasted like BBQ chicken off the grill. It had a nice char and a slight spice to it. The jillif rice was spicy and had a tomato flavor. The sautéed onions on it were salty, spicy, crunchy while giving off a nice juice. Then the raw onions were peppery and tangy. The whole meal was delicious. The strawberry lemonade was refreshing and sweet. It had a creamy feel to it. Very enjoyable. Oh... the chicken empanada....DELICIOUS. get it. Will be returning here. Mera's Tip: jollof

I've had food from here twice by ordering through Uber and both times I was pleasantly satisfied…read more The dibi lamb is so good I would give it 5/5. Their jollof is good too but I've had better. Theirs is a little dry and not as smokey as I'd like, but they do add a side of some type of tomato and onions near it so I mix it in and it does add a little more to it so thats a 4/5. Ive also had their fatal and it was good too. I see that they recently added fufu to their menu but its too expensive in comparison to the other places I've had. I wish they had egusi on their menu, but it'll probably be very expensive as most things are at this restaurant.
