The scenery is everything and more. Nothing like sipping wine in the mountains. The wine ambassador, Hope, was the perfect person to give us informative information on the vineyard and wines. She was super sweet, knowledgeable and so much fun! The group enjoyed her so much. We had a tasting of 5 wines, and the wines were luscious and complex. One of my favorites was the 2025 Rose. It's a blend of Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. If you would like to indulge in a nice afternoon or evening by sipping on some lovely wines with beautiful views, check out this place. I promise you will love it! I look forward to returning in the fall:)

The managers are extremely helpful! We didn't have an extension cord long enough, and Tom brought us one even though it was night time. Very friendly staff. One of our favorite campgrounds yet! Downside was that she really needed gravel to level and prevent mud. It rained several days and we were ankle deep in mud. We had the end site which was beautiful and large, but Sundays and Monday when weekenders dumped we had to endure a sewer smell. We checked out other campgrounds that were newer and more level but absolutely NO trees. That made it worth everything because no matter how hot, we were never so hot we had to run air all day! And the wifi was one of the best we ever had in a campground.

The price is decent compared to other campgrounds (average about$48/night)…read more It's an older park with 61 sites both back in and pull through but about 25% are full timers. There is a pool and some activities for kids like mini golf a small BB court and a playground. Sites are very shaded and the bathhouse is older but clean. I'd advise bring plenty of leveling blocks as most of the open sites are very very sloped. Owner is very friendly and works hard to keep the place updated but o think could use some help with everyday maintenance like cleaning up the sites from tree debris and raking the area. Sites could definitely use some new gravel as when it rains, there is a lot of mud around camper. All in all a decent place to stay as it's near wine country and about 20 minutes from Mt. Airy.

I think we went to 7 different places and had drinks and/or food at every stop. The store & restaurant owners were welcoming. These were all great locations that I'd love to visit again. It has a pretty loud window type air conditioner (that smelled like it was on fire when we turned it up but it mellowed out), a small coffee maker missing the pod tray, and a mini fridge. The bathroom is tiny and has a corner triangle shower. It'll get the job done. The exhaust fan sounds like a cat in heat. If you're bougie dont stay here. If you are thrifty definitely stay here.
