But, wanted our son to be old enough to participate with us. We did it together in June! A random Google search and good reviews led us here. Our instructor Joe treated us like family. He took extra care with our son being patient and repetitive until he mastered the safety skills. Katie helped out mama bear with breathing and buoyancy. Hubby was previously certified and did his refresher alongside us. He also picked out our gear like a kid in a candy store. We appreciate the hospitality and look forward to many more underwater adventures.

Once underwater he monitored me and pointed out things too see but at the same time let it be my dive, not just me chasing him around. For those of you who are experienced divers he has a style for you also. He gets you to the site, provides you with a safe and friendly experience but lets you do your own thing. You tow a flag and they monitor it. You hit the surface and they pick you up. If you need something he and his crew are there but he doesn't try to smother you.

The crew is highly competent, kind, resourceful, irreverent, and tons of fun. Captain Lynn is well known for being one of the most skilled around. (She even has a reef named after her!) Splashdown regularly visits the most desirable spots in this gorgeous area and always has a plan B (which sometimes means postponing until conditions improve) when nature doesn't cooperate. The Delta Splash is a fine lady, comfy, accommodating, and well equipped. Owner Dave from Bo-ah-ston provides "wo-ah-dah" and "to-ah-nic" (that's a Coke in Texas) as well as safe dives and lots of laughs. Thanks for all of the good times!

Perspective: New diver with my veteran buddies on Scubatyme III for a Veterans Day/Marine Corps birthday dive. With that out of the way, I was nervous! New. Like NEW diver! The captain and dive master were top notch, masterclass. They made me feel completely comfortable and I knew that I was in good hands once we approached the dive site. I usually write forever when it's top notch but I'm just lost for words for how much fun I had and how safe I felt! Just go! Have fun, and know you're in good hands.

We booked through Force-E and had our tanks delivered to the dock by Force-E. There was a mixup and one of our tanks disappeared, but the team was very helpful and made it all work. We dove the MV Castor and a nearby reef. The briefings were good. Boat was well maintained, and we felt safe and comfortable the whole time. Will certainly dive with them again!

This place is great for getting marine fuel and the staff that works here is very nice…read more This used to be a nice place to visit either before or after dining at one of the waterfront restaurants to watch the beautiful boats coming down the intercoastal waterway. There were a variety of Adirondack chairs to enjoy, but they were removed, and now there is no place to sit anymore. I dont suggest standing in the grass because too many people let their dogs relieve themselves instead of going to a dog park. There is a convenience store that sells ice and beverages and a variety of other needs, but their prices reflect them being a convenient location.

Stopping this time, we were met with complete indifference, bordering on rudeness by the dock hands. I can understand this from the young man who maybe didn't know any better but there was an older gentleman "working" as well whose attitude was identical. Both of them were pointedly unhelpful and made us never want to stop here again . We always tip at least $5 and sometimes $10 if two people help us, no matter if we are delivering a mega yacht or a crappy little sailboat. I didn't even feel badly departing without tipping either of these people. Whoever manages this fuel dock needs to invest in training your people.

I dove with Splashdown Divers/Loggerhead Dive Charters last weekend. This was the 2-tank drift…read moredive package. I was impressed with the captain and divemaster for a couple reasons. When our group arrived it was windy and rainy. The captain confidently stated that it would blow over and we'd have flat seas and a great day of diving. He was absolutely correct. By the time we were out of the jetties, the sky had cleared and all was good. The DM was knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. Super nice guy. There was a total of (about) 18 divers but everything went smoothly. These guys are professional and experienced and it shows. Upon surfacing, the boat crew, never too far away, signals that it's on its way. Water and sodas provided in an ice chest for free. Giant stride exit and easy ladder back in with help from DM (if needed). We dove two different spots and saw plenty of sea life. I highly recommend this outfit!
