Loads of the guys from the documentary Murderball were there, and we got to watch them play. I learned a lot about the sport, which wasn't what I was expecting at all but still really fascinating. Teams from all over the world were competing, and it was intense. The South Florida Rattlers challenged us to a wheelchair rugby scrimmage, which we absolutely cannot wait to do. We are going to get our asses kicked.

The parks are always top-notch, and Gardens Park is no exception. You'll find it next to Palm Beach Gardens City Hall. I was looking for a place to get some walking exercise, and this park fit my needs perfectly. Gardens Park is primarily designed for sports enthusiasts. There are nine baseball fields, all of which were quite busy on a Saturday afternoon. The park also features six open-air batting cages, four covered batting cages with pitching mounds, a bankshot basketball court, an artificial turf field that is home to the Miracle League of the Palm Beaches, and three playgrounds, one of which includes disability-accessible play equipment. Gardens Park is very safe and family-friendly. The entire park is well maintained, with spacious baseball fields, shaded playgrounds, batting cages, picnic areas, and plenty of parking. Even if you are not there for youth sports, this is one of the nicest community parks I have come across.

An excellent course for South Florida…read more I first came here a year or so ago, and didn't think much of the course. I was only able to get a few holes in as I had a work thing come up. There was a few groups of people and I honeslty prefer a course where there isn't people in the way so we can go at a decent pace. I've been back a few times lately though when I'm in the area and its grown on me quickly. And that's not just because I'm starting to put good scores up there. It a nice easy dribe into the Delray Regional Park. there is usually people picniking or walkign dogs or in the far back there is a popular RC plane flying area. Just past that is the beautiful Disc park. It starts out with about 9 holes of play in the woods. The back 9 is more open though. Its a great mix of shots. left right, par 3 and a few par 4's. I think its 16 that you have to whip it across a pond, but its a short distance. It grew on me, and it probably will for you too. And its the only course in that area, so may as well learn to like it.

The crew is highly competent, kind, resourceful, irreverent, and tons of fun. Captain Lynn is well known for being one of the most skilled around. (She even has a reef named after her!) Splashdown regularly visits the most desirable spots in this gorgeous area and always has a plan B (which sometimes means postponing until conditions improve) when nature doesn't cooperate. The Delta Splash is a fine lady, comfy, accommodating, and well equipped. Owner Dave from Bo-ah-ston provides "wo-ah-dah" and "to-ah-nic" (that's a Coke in Texas) as well as safe dives and lots of laughs. Thanks for all of the good times!
