We wanted to make sure our room was a double because we have our daughter with us and the front desk told us that we couldn't get a double bed. Turns out they stressed us out for no reason. We get to the room and it is in fact a double bed. The other person we were with had to come back while we were trying to get situated because her room smelled like cigarette smoke (this is a non smoking hotel). The 3rd floor reeked of weed. The room had only two towels for a double bed, which usually there are four. The shower looked dirty and so did the toilet. We will not be staying here again.

When we went to the front desk for help, we were told there was "no manager available" and that there was nothing they could do. We simply needed a place to shower and get out, but they refused to give us another room just to shower in, even though our bathroom was unusable and covered in toilet water. On top of that, they would not refund us. One employee said someone would be in contact with us about the situation -- nobody ever reached out. To make matters worse, the hotel wasn't very clean to begin with, which only added to how uncomfortable this stay was. The lack of care, accountability, and basic customer service was shocking. I would not recommend anyone stay here. Save your money and stay literally anywhere else.

Seems like there is always something I've stayed here on many occasions and myself and all my co workers always dread this hotel. We stay in hotels all over the world for work and Delta PBI ranks up as top of the list of the worst hotel in PBI and worst of any hotel I stay in with work. This week only one of the two elevators was working. Their housekeepers are very loud in the hallway during the day and if you need to sleep during the day, this is a huge disruption and on several occasions the rooms that I've been in I have had extremely loud air-conditioning unit units that make a loud banging noise when they turn on and turn off, which will constantly wake you up. The location is not where you wanna be unless you're just there for 12 hours for an overnight. There's nothing nearby and it doesn't seem like an area you want to go walking around. You'll find a much nicer hotels in the area of City Place walkable to dining and shopping.

We accepted paid the girl who took the card over the phone and proceeded to classes nothing ever said or brought up about this again till today 2.5 weeks later.... I asked for new sheets and got sheets that were actually stained even worse. The beds are incredibly hard and uncomfortable. The hot tub is not hot but warm. There were spoons in the hot tub and soy sauce packets around the outside of it. I went to use some of the dishes in our suite and they were dirty. There was wallpaper peeling from the wall in our room. The door to the outdoor patio did not lock. All that you had to do was push on the door to open it. We weren't on the first floor, so wasn't concerned about somebody breaking in but we have small children and I didn't like that all they had to do was push on the door to get out to the patio. And lastly, the walls are very thin.

Large trees offer shade. Apollo Park hasn't received any updates in years. Residents in this part of town would like a football field. In lieu of updating the park, the city is currently contemplating building a multi million dollar skate park nearby. During my visit it looked like a lot of men were just hanging out laying on tables. For a park behind a library it didn't feel very safe.

In my mind, the primary purpose of a highway rest or service area is CLEAN, well-maintained restrooms. THis service plaze aced that criteria. Second, it's important that it have plenty of well-lite parking - another ace. And finally, it's important that you be able to grab a bite to eat. This service plaza excelled in that category with a Burger King,, Pizza Hut, Dukin Donuts, and a mini supermarket. There was enought variety to satisfy any traveler. Kudos to the State of Florida or the Florida Turnpike people (whoever's in charge) - this is what a service plaze should be.

The lines for the different food spots can be long at times and most of them seem to have workers that aren't in any sort of rush to get you back on your way to wherever you're traveling. Food is also more expensive than if you weren't buying at a service area but you're paying for the convenience I guess. The bathrooms are always clean and well stocked, there always seems to be at least one person in there cleaning. They have many of the fast food restaurants you'd find in any city such as KFC, Burger King, and Dunkin. This particular service area also has a place to purchase perfume and a vending machine selling slices of Buddy Valestro aka The Cake Boss cake!
