Interesting selection of clothes and houseware items but prices seemed on the high side and the store itself is a little cluttered

Like other thrift stores it's like a treasure find game here, but based on the things I've found, it's closer to a consignment shop experience than a junk store. There are many high quality items & larger variety than other places. Recently, I wanted to decorate for a tea time themed quincena party so I visited and to my delight I found beautiful tea cup sets, extra tea pots, baskets and even a Louis 14 style armchair for the guest of honor. Usually though, I visit Savers to get denim clothing items for my kids: I can find the brands we like in great condition for a fraction of the price I would spend buying brand new and they definitely make it through the few months that my growing kids wear them. I appreciate that I can save a few bucks, I'm not creating more human waste and the kids look great. Savers is generally pretty organized and clean; although the bathrooms and fitting rooms could use a little TLC. True to their name, they have promotions every so often, plus a rewards system to save even more. I like that they offer seniors a discount one day each week. The only thing outside of the opportunities to tidy up, the only other thing that I don't love is that the donation center doesn't allow drops outside of business hours and even turns away certainly categories of items when they are full. Even though I'm not fond of these items, they are understandable, minor in nature & would never hinder me from visiting the store.

The employees have no human interaction skills almost like NPCs, especially the people who work up front. The prices are out of control, and it seems as the employees get the first shot on new items coming in, most prices seem as they are from eBay even though it is coming out of a thrift store

Huge store with all types of used and new books. I only had time to look in the children's section…read morewhich was huge and decently organized by categories such as (sensory/cause and effect, holidays, popular authors, language, potty training, family). You could spend a good chunk of time browsing through the bins and shelves. It is great that they have a train table in the kids area so they kids can play while you browse the books. I was searching for Lunar New Year books, but couldn't find any. They had a bin for the big holidays like Christmas, Halloween, Easter and a general holiday bin for smaller holidays. The employees were nice and can system search by author/title, but they couldn't do a search by general topic/genre.

The Used Book Superstore in Burlington is my personal money pit -- and honestly, I'm fine with it…read more I've never managed to leave with fewer than ten books, and at this point, I don't even pretend I will. The selection feels endless. Every genre, every niche, and then, just when you think you've seen it all, there's a wall of Blu-rays, DVDs, video games, board games, and random bits of memorabilia you didn't know you wanted until they're already in your basket. The prices are almost insulting to other stores. Seriously, I've paid more for a cup of coffee than I have for some of the books here. You'd almost feel guilty... except you don't, because you're too busy carrying out a stack taller than your torso. The staff is excellent -- actually helpful, not the fake "let me know if you need anything" kind. They've tracked down what I came in looking for, and then somehow convinced me to walk out with three more titles I didn't even know existed. My shelves at home are groaning under the weight of their recommendations, but sure, suggest me another series. Why not. I've been a regular for about a year now, and as long as I live in Massachusetts, this will be one of the few places I actually look forward to throwing money at. You never know what you'll find here, which is exactly why I keep coming back.

For the most part we're going the prices low-fair! Bonus!!! If you're on the fence, price won't be a determining factor most likely. If there's a piece on the pricier side, there's usually some kind of description for the why behind the price. They have roller carts like target ands hand baskets to hold your things. The winding staircase is beautiful. Great spot for a photo! Yes they have bathrooms! Easily accessible! We're still confused but there's the main canal street antique mall with 2 full floors AND across the parking lot is another space on the 4th floor. They're owned by the same people, we think... we loved both places!

Yikes! A lot changed since last time I was here…read more When you walk through the front door, you'll swear you're on the set of "Hoarders." There is stuff everywhere. You can barely make in through the aisles. I'm not sure what is available in the front room - if there isn't a giant stuffed animal blocking your view, there are boxes in the way. You want to see the jewelry in the front case. You can't. Too much junk in the way. If you make your way into the front side room, it is pretty tidy in there. That's where you'll find clothes, books, and puzzles. I checked the price of a paperback book - $2. Puzzles were between $2 and $5 (some new). If you make your way to the back room there is kitchenware and kids' toys. A used cheese grater that was originally $9 was marked $5. Too much for this cheapo. A vintage looking electrical appliance was $75. I don't know what is was, but that seems way too pricey for any small kitchen appliance. I was interested in some of the china, but it was packed in too tight with coffee cups ($2) dangling from hooks in front of them. Removing a plate would be like playing Jenga with glass blocks. They need to have a sale and get rid of some of the junk that is just in the way. People can't buy things if they can't see them. Do like other thrift stores and figure out a way to identify how long something has been on the store floor, and then automatically drop the price after a month or whatever. I know you want to make as much as you can for the charity, but if people can't see what you're selling, they won't buy it. If you price it too high for your clientele, it won't sell either. You can't raise money for the charity by just hoarding stuff! I do want to point out that the women who work here are very nice!
