This is my new favorite resale store. It's on Richmond Rd., just south of Miles. The building is non-descriptive, but the inside is big and very nice for a resale store. There are like-new household goods, some furniture, lots of clothes and shoes for the family, nice jewelry, even a few wedding gowns. One table was covered with nice Hebrew decorating items. On this day the store was offering a discount by spinning the wheel for an additional percentage off. The ladies were kind and helpful, and the young man did a wonderful job getting a chair into my truck. There is a straight truck to pick up donations if you call to arrange a time.

Beautiful cut glass set for cheap!

Just say all day! Vacation day lost, a work day income, OUT THE DOOR. Figure it out VCF. You're running a monkey business over there. I only gave 2 stars because I like the furniture piece I got, for the value, and need in our temporary condo! Customer service is just as golden as the product you sell, if not MORE. It's now 6pm and it's still not here. We attempted to call our location and could not get through to any of the three phone options. When it seemed like someone did pick up, they hung up and disconnected the call. We should not get charged for this delivery. I will update this review with the end result. Here's the END review: VCF is the worst! Not only did the tracking indicate it was on its way, and when we refreshed the tracking to verify the time.. it bumps the delivery window out again another few minutes! I FINALLY got through to the option 2: delivery info line, to be put on hold, then told We are sorry.. there was "A GLITCH" and it appears that your inventory was not loaded on the truck!@&$!?!$&&! HAD THE ENTIRE order REFUNDED ... we will take our hard earned money somewhere else!!! And pay more!!! Okay... THE FINAL, FINALE! Went to the location still annoyed.. thanks to the fiancé insisting to go there .. and our wonderful (professional) sales associate, ROBERT GONZALEZ was most helpful. He was very polite/Empathetic/understanding.. and took the reigns again, delivery will be GUARANTEED BEFORE NOON tomorrow, and they are knocking off the delivery charge. Thank you, Señor Gonzalez! One star bumped back to two!

DO NOT SHOP AT LA-Z-BOY FURNITURE OF BEACHWOOD, OHIO…read more A few weeks ago I found myself at Lazy Boy Furniture in Beachwood, Ohio. I had been there before and worked with seemingly polite saleswomen, who had contacted me a few times via text to inquire about my continued interest. So, in coming back to the store I thought it was important to continue to work with her. Before deciding on my final purchase, I decided to take one last walk through the store. When I did, I found the perfect chair and couch combo - not sure how I had missed it - but it met all of my criteria and was on clearance. She indicated that the couch had already been sold. I asked her if it might be available at other stores and if it were if she'd still get a commission on the sale. She said yes and went off to look in their system to see what she could find. When she returned she said that there weren't any other stores that had the couch, that they were often the only store to get clearance merchandise, and that the only option was a new couch with the same specifications costing $1500 more. I said no and left. My mother was with me and told me she didn't trust the sales lasy and that the next day I should go to the store in Mentor. I wasn't waiting and decided to go immediately. I drove to the Mentor store. I walked in and was greeted by a salesman named Gage. I told him what I was looking for. He walked me right over to the same couch on clearance in their store. I was shocked and told him immediately that I wanted to buy it. I also asked about the chair and learned that they didn't have it. So, I asked if it was possible for him to look at another store to see if they have it. Sound familiar? He did. He found the chair in the system at the Beechwood store and called to confirm. You'll never guess who answered when he called... Yep, my sales lady. And when he asked to confirm that they had the chair in stock she told him no. At this point I was livid. Livid. I told Gage what happened at Beachwood and he went to get his manager to help. Not only did the sales lady at the Beachwood store lie about the couch not being at another store, she tried to sell me a new non-clearance couch at an increased price, and when another store called to inquire about the chair that I was just looking at with her no less than an hour before she lied and said they didn't have it. This wasn't a mistake. No one is that inept. Lying and misleading customers is wrong. What she did was similar to price gouging - she saw I was interested and decided to both lie about availability and increase the price. She was manipulative. I've never called anyone out on Facebook - but you earned this!!! I'll be writing a formal letter to the Lazy Boy Furniture Corporate Office and filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. In this time when businesses are struggling to survive, the last thing you need are salespeople using deceptive tactics. I decided to wait until my furniture was delivered and confirm that it was in good working condition before posting - because I didn't want to take the risk that she'd somehow sabotage the process. I want to give a HUGE shout out to Lazy Boy Furniture of Mentor and my salesman Gage - you are rockstars who maintained your professionalism while helping me navigate an unnecessarily difficult situation. I plan to post separately on their site and send a latter of thanks to the Corporate Office on their behalf. I want to be clear that I will NEVER step foot in the Beachwood store again and I strongly encourage my friends and family to do the same. Lazy Boy Corporate - you are now on the clock. Monday morning, I will be calling and I'm going to keep calling and writing and sharing this story until I receive an adequate response and apology.

It's now April 2015 and we still do not have our sofa. I'd like you to keep in mind that both of my parents worked for a furniture company for years and are fully aware of how they should operate, etc. There was never a single phone call from their end to update us or to say that anything was to be delayed for any reason, nor have they returned numerous phone calls from us for days on end. We have physically driven to the store multiple times (because no one seemed able to take our calls) and we were given excuses and customer service numbers leading to empty warehouses. One of the 2 times they actually answered the phone, the employee on the call stated his name was Josh. When we told the manager that we had spoken with "Josh" on the first call, her response was "no one by the name of Josh works here." She is also "unable to issue a discount of any kind." My wonderful mother finally got in touch with an Erin at the Michigan headquarters who said none of those things should be happening, and that they should absolutely issue a discount. Do not shop at Lay Z Boy Furniture Galleries - especially the Warrensville Hts, OH location. How difficult is it to pick up the phone? Or to keep tabs on your orders? Monkeys are more intelligent and intuitive.

But this whole ordeal is just the worse buying experience I've had in some time. We went to the showroom on Harvard Rd and it was like any other furniture shopping experience. Everyone was nice. Then the design consultant came to our house and she was nice. We ordered our furniture and this is where the trouble began. 1- the furniture was super late. Promised 6 weeks and we got it in maybe 10-12. 2- living space vs furniture was not measured properly so we had to change plans and re-arrange our room to accommodate furniture. Off by about 6" or so. 3- noticed decorative wood pcs on consuls did not match. One was mocha and one was oak. Re-ordered new ones. They got lost. Re-ordered another pair, finally, 2 more months gone and I finally got matching pcs. 4- when the furniture delivered I also noticed stripped out screws for the consul drawer pulls. Replacement parts were supposedly sent but they weren't. A piece of fabric was sent. When tech showed up to swap out the wood pieces I showed him the drawer pull issue and he promised to get the right stuff ordered. That was three months ago. I haven't heard a thing. At this point I fixed it by putting toothpicks in the reamed out hole. So far so good. Anyways, I paid a premium for LZB furniture thinking it would be a good experience and I'd be helping US workers. Man, was I mistaken. It has been nothing but a pain and I've given up on trying to get this stuff right. In the future I think the way to go is just to buy cheap Chinese junk and after 3 years throw it on the tree lawn and buy something new. Don't expect any better service or quality for the extra money paid.

Quickly I found some really nice books for the kids. Many of the books have music, drawing pads, etc. They have books of every type, fiction, non-fiction, cookbooks, novels, history and so much more. The sale on K-Cups are really good. I couldn't believe how they have Keto, Organics, Atkins to name a few. I was shocked that they had bags of BLACK WALNUTS you know how expensive and rare these are to get. The bags are 1-1/2 cups for under $2.99. The have light popcorn and buttered 3-pack for .99 cents. Sofa pillows, rugs, wall art / decor, frames, lamps, curtains for your home. I only got through 2/3 of the store and I decided it was time for me to go as I had many items in my cart. I did sneak a peak at the other side o did not visit and I did see some outdoorsy clothes, like Mossy Oak. Although I know I picked up some really cool clothes, books, snacks and such I felt that I really racked up a big bill, to my surprise when the cashier told me what the total was it was way less than expected. Score!!! If you like the store and you are visiting for the first time sign up for Ollies Army card. It's just a card that you can use in each of your visits that accumulates points for future discounts. Just remember to complete the sign up on your phone or computer. They gave me a 15 percent discount on next visit. That's a great discount on there already low prices.
