As such he does not accept health insurance and his office visits can be rather expensive when one has to pay out of pocket for the entire visit. He does spend a good amount of time listening to his clients, as compared to traditional medical doctors. Since he cannot prescribe medication, he will sell you his own private label vitamins and supplements as well as a "healthy" diet. Because he cannot prescribe FDA approved medicines, my results are mixed using supplements and diet. Overall I feel better, but the specific issue I went to him for remains unresolved. I have reccomend others to him.

The woman I spoke with was very rude telling me i never had a payment plan previously or made a payment. Asked for a manager to share the bad experience as well as ask some questions about the bill break down. Instead the same woman called me back and left me a VM stating there is nothing anyone will do for me left collections number (which she already provided) Called back again a month later spoke with someone who made my appt told me to set up a payment plan on the web. Sent a message to the doctor about a question for my up coming MRI that needed to be done. Was hoping to have it done before my $250 visit with her so i can have more information for our visit and had a question about her thoughts on contrast. And instead they cancelled my appt . Without my knowledge ( that i requested time off work for) Told me they don't have any other medical advice for me . Didn't even call me with a payment option or advising what needed to be paid prior to cancelling. Called back in asked for the manager again who then had her employee call me back to tell she is too busy and she doesn't believe the other rep would've ever been rude to me because she knows her personally (even though the calls are recorded) not willing to pull the call or resolve . This would be the second person essentially accusing me- Visits are booked out longer& at this point because of the horrible customer service i don't even want an appt here and will take care of the balance with collections instead of through them. All of this while dealing with several serious health issues! Major communication issue here! Horrible customer service- will miss Dr Burkman, sometimes people fall on hard times and paying out of pocket can be hard temporarily!

She was extremely rude and repeatedly cut me off while I was trying to explain the reason for my call. I mentioned that I had been a previous patient of an APRN who worked there years ago. Before I could continue, she abruptly cut me off to say, "We don't do prescriptions here." I replied that I wasn't calling about prescriptions, but she still insisted, in a dismissive tone, "Well, I'm just letting you know because the APRN was able to do that." I repeated that prescriptions were not why I was calling. I explained that I was looking for a PCP with a holistic approach and wanted to know whether my insurance would be compatible, attempted to explain about my insurance. Again, she cut me off, saying, "We're not a PCP and don't sign off on anything for insurance." Once more, this was not what I was asking. I finally had to say, "If you let me explain, I'd appreciate it." But at that point, I told her that if this was the experience I was receiving over the phone, I would take my family and myself elsewhere. This was honestly shocking. I'm sure many of the other employees are wonderful, and I was looking forward to the possibility of becoming a patient again. However, this interaction alone completely changed my mind. 9/15/21…read more The Center for Holistic Health Care at 1420 Main St Ste 124 in Glastonbury, CT 06033 is the service provider for the drug Spravato in this area. The facility is very poor. The drug is delivered to the patient who is in a 12 x 24 room, without a door, with two easy chairs and regular chairs with the patients separated by curtains. This prevents any privacy and causes all the conversations of the other patients to be broadcast to everyone else in the room. Aside from the other patients conversations and cell phone discussions room the room is open to a busy hallway with the staff and other patients and their accompanying discussions. The rest of the facility comes off as cheap and half pay. An old large residential building cut up to provide a variety of offices filled with many small offices and many narrow hallways connecting all these small rooms together. Rather than a location of professional offices it comes off as a location for a direct marketing operation. It's as if you're receiving medical treatment in some cheap apartment. So far I can't comment on the efficacy of the Spravato drug but I can say the office and facility is definitely low rent. If you can get this drug at a different location I would suggest you do it.
