Upstairs was mainly cardio, had massage chairs and a recovery room, and a class for hot yoga or pilates I think. The rooftop has a pool and outdoor workout area that had stuff for hyrox training and boxing. The pool is like 4 ft deep with 2 lanes. Also sauna and showers outside too. They had chairs to lounge and tan as well. One thing that got me was that they had a whole slide in there lol. We will be coming back!

But we spent alittle over $300 there on everything! There is a $35 or $45 entrance fee depending on when you come. It's just to come inside the lagoon. If you want the obstacle course it's an additional $10 per person for 55 mins (super short). If you want to kayak, use the aqua bike or use the paddleboard it's an additional $10 per equipment/item. There is a kiddie area for small and young children. They DO NOT allow outside food or drinks except water! There is a small shop that sells misc. items, snacks & drinks (overpriced). They also had a foodtruck inside that was expensive and the meals didn't come with drinks. They do have plenty of staff and lifeguards there. The entrance fee should of been $15-20. The obstacle course atleast 90-120 mins instead of the 55 mins. Wish the foodtruck came with drinks and was a bigger portion.

My younger son joined not knowing anyone and felt welcomed almost immediately. Both of my boys felt included from day one. The staff is incredibly caring, supportive, and attentive. You can truly feel that they work hard to create a safe, joyful environment for the kids, and as a parent that means everything. The activities are fantastic: well planned, age appropriate, engaging, and fun. The natural setting is also beautiful and feels especially important these days. My boys came home with confidence, stories, friendships, and summer memories they will cherish forever. And the camp spirit is real. We still sing the silly songs at home, especially the announcements song whenever we have a family announcement, and the birthday song too. I cannot recommend Cali Camp enough. I've certain found more members using the facilities but also discovered quite a bit of new programmings like the Pilates classes, mahjong club, live jazz performances and movie nights. I was not really sure about the change at the beginning but I am now fully embracing the new LAAC. Many of the staff and members have been here for a long time and it is nice to be greeted by familiar faces when coming to the club. The restaurants are pretty decent. Love to top my salad with a nice piece of salmon after workout at the Famous Players or have a tasty glass of scotch while enjoying the live jazz performance at the Invention. The sports bar Duke's has great happy hours and fun monthly evening karaoke or chess club meetings. The only thing I complain about is the need for shock absorbance and insulation of the noise or moving the weight station. The northwest corner of the Famous Players near Olive Street shakes every time the weightlifters drop their weights, which is very annoying and distracting for the diners. Feel like the ceiling or floor is going to drop out. No joke. For now, I would sit as far away from the northwest corner as I possibly can. But hope the club would look into it. I have been trying to sign up for the monthly wine tasting but they are always full. Maybe consider having the event more frequently or scale up? Regardless, I am still exploring all the new offerings at the club and really pleased with the Pilates classes and the live music performances. Although I am apprehensive when I first see the co-working space and the influx of new members, I now appreciate the additional events and classes that come with the new members and hope the club continues to do well and do better as I am here to stay.

As usual, water in the room costs money, and there are a few other products with hidden price tags in the room, too. Surprisingly, toothbrush and toothpaste was not provided. The water for showering also doesn't get too hot. In terms of the athletic space, the machines were very easy to access. There was never a wait even on weekend afternoons. The lap pool was my favorite part - clean and calm. There was some miscommunication between the lobby and the store, as one said there is no reservation system but there in fact was. But even when told all the lanes were fully reserved, more than half weren't in use. Parking is a bit of a hassle; for non-members it's definitely not worth it. At the time of visit, the parking machine wasn't working. There are also sperate elevators for parking vs the athletic club / hotel area which was a little confusing. The stair numbers also didn't coordinate the best with actual level.

This is the "Brandon Special" by Esther, not on the menu. I don't know what's in it but it's delish.

I've seen a lot of improvement on my form and definition in just 3 weeks alone. I was what you'd think fit before but honestly HUGE change and so much progress. Form is something that I try to focus on and when you do an exercise the right way it's a game changer. I've seen fitness instructors and coaches who just tell you what you need to do, typically the super muscular ones who sit there and wait until your hour session is done but not heather. She watches you, looks at your form, posture and breathing, pushes you every single time. When you get a breakthrough moment you can see her eyes just light up. The only downside is parking--it can be frustrating, and the meters out front aren't smart meters, which somehow makes it even more annoying. The instructor walked over and seemed exasperated at us, then turned up the music with the speaker right next to us. We were both taken aback and quickly finished registering though it was hard to hear each other. The class itself was pretty good and the instructor corrected people at times. She did seem to be good with the pregnant woman in the class, so that was nice to see. All in all, I thought it worth it to go, just make sure to be early and don't expect a super friendly instructor.

A little bit of everything. That's how I'd describe this gym. There are group classes, cold plunge,…read moreinfrared sauna, ample workout equipment and machines.... The list goes on. They even have a Brazilian jujitsu studio next to the main workout area. I really like how open this space is. It's clean and both self contained and spacious at the same time. They also have this really cool indoor-outdoor concept where some of the group classes are held in the back patio. Megan did a great job offering corrections during yoga sculpt without being invasive or aggressive. For my disabled friends, the women's bathroom has an accessible shower with a built-in seat and railing. I imagine the men's bathroom has one too.
