This is a lengthy review but please read because I KNOW there is a mama out there that was like me. When we first reached out to Thrive our son had extremely painful stools, with lots of crying (from us both) which often took hours to pass. We spent so much money on supplements, on miralax and even resorting to laxatives. My issue was that he was such a picky eater I didn't know what to feed him anymore. Thrive has great administrative support with a smooth process. They even sent me a checklist/script to use when calling my insurance company to understand my benefits. Meeting with Rachel came as such a relief and I feel I know have the long term support I need to address food challenges. I've met with dietician's before and they were all the same - handed me a brochure telling me what I already know - yes, fruits & vegetables are better than cheeseburgers and cheesecake:). Rachel spent time learning about my trauma connected with food, how I cope as an adult with and without food and I now feel I have a partner working with me as I change how I relate to food. My regular nutritionist, Gary, is out of the office for a few months, and I've been paired with Kyla in the meantime. At first, I was a little bit skeptical--it's always a bit nerve-wracking to switch things up--but I'm honestly so happy with how it's going. She gives me really helpful info on batch cooking, along with a bunch of great recipes that actually fit into my life (and taste good too!). I'm learning new things that build on what I've already been doing, and it's making a real difference. Rachel Gary has been my nutritionist for about 3 months now. I love her!! She really motivates me like no others!
