I had called other electrician companies and all their emergency service appointments were all booked up. Calling Vaccarella Electric Services should have been my first call. Roberto picked up and wanted to solve the issue immediately over the phone. My initial diagnosis was completely off and in less than 3 minutes Roberto was able to determine the issue based on what I told him and answering his questions of what I saw. He told me to head outside and look at the piping connected to the meter. When I did, the meter was throwing up, "888888." That confirmed to me Roberto's diagnosis. It turned out to be a PSEG matter which saved me from having to get charged a service call. Roberto didn't have to pass up a chance at a service call, but in doing so has earned my trust and future business. My family and I thank you Roberto!

This is the first time I've reviewed anything on Yelp. I felt compelled to do so for Phil. Can't…read morethank him enough for his electrical services the other day. A friend gave me a large Casablanca ceiling fan in perfect working order, though I soon discovered it lacked a base unit to attach it to the ceiling. I needed to have the fan installed asap. The job required new wiring from the circuit breaker. So I called three other electricians rated highly on Yelp. One never called me back. One called back two days later. And one gave me a quote of $350-$400 dollars. Phil answered his phone (917-519-2306) right away. He said he'd be over in two hours, and was true to his word. He and Carlvern inspected the job, hustled over to Home Depot for the requisite parts, then came back and finished the job within a couple hours. I paid less than half what the other electrician quoted, including parts. The fan had a two-foot long extension pole. When he installed it, Phil said the thought the fan would work better and be safer with a shorter pole. So he returned with the shorter pole, and installed it the next day, free of charge. Over and above what I've ever experienced with an electrician. I'm giving him five stars only because there isn't a ten rating. He's honest, hard working, quick, and a damn fine electrician.

Our water heater wasn't getting enough power, and we noticed an active crackling sound coming from the external disconnect box. Gazmir arrived promptly and immediately identified the root causes: a melted switch, an overcrowded metal box that was too small for the heavy wiring, and a completely ungrounded setup. He expanded the box to give the wires the proper breathing room, safely grounded the unit, and installed a brand-new heavy-duty switch.
