Jay-c kicked me out of the chair when the job wasn't done and i was forced to get a new cut 3 days later. He barely blends to do an actual fade and doesn't listen to what you want. It's all about clock watching and the next guy up for this volume practice. When Jay-c was asked to blend a little further and fix a portion of the line up, his response represented the throne brand as follows, "My next apt is here so...." These marketing geniuses dupe you with inexperienced cutters like Jay-c who dont know what a real fade is by virtue of location and branding. How management allows this type of work product and service astounds. HIGHWAY ROBBERY. GO to an experienced barber who actual blends methodically for a fade and doesn't let you go until everything is checked off. I decided to give Throne barbershop a try after one of my friend told me he always gets his hair done there. His hair always looked great so I thought this would be a good place to try. I was the type of guy who had a shaved head for more then 20 years and decided to see what I looked like with hair. I had a mop of hair with no clue what kind of hair cut to get or even what might look good one me. I booked an appointment with Josh and showed up then left my hair in his hands. I told him I needed his help because I was clueless when it came to hair. I was nervous like a little kid getting his hair cut for the first time. Josh is a friendly guy who is easy to talk to. Before I knew it my hair was all done and I was impressed with the results. Not only did the hair cut look great it was an easy style that I could recreate on my own which was nice for a guy who is used to a no maintenance hair style. I've been to a bunch of barbers all over Toronto (Scarborough, Vaughan, Richmondhill and even Etobicoke) and decided to check out Throne from a friend's recommendation. I've been going to Throne since they opened - they are the best barbershop in Toronto. Simple as that. I get cut by Brian, usually a .2 - 1 high fade on the sides, with a low fade in the back, and the part. The cut is clean and the fade is consistent each time I go, usually takes 30 minutes in total. Always get a line up (and the part) with a straight blade - and I think they will be adding in hot towel service for after cuts/shaves. More generally, the barbershop itself is sick, all the barbers know what they're doing (my brother gets cut by Josh now) - and it's always pretty busy, so I would suggest calling in for an appointment - a day in advance or even in the morning works fine. Definitely recommend Throne, even when my cousins visiting from abroad come in they drop by for a cut - place is sick, check them out!!! read more

Got recommended to see Josh, and he did some killer work. Really good at communication and delivers extremely well. Josh knows what he's doing and he'll sometimes make some suggestions to make your cut look better! The staff at Throne are a friendly, cool group of guys. Everyone at Throne looks to be pretty good at their craft hence why their business is a little heavy. For people looking for value meeting quality in a cut look no further, Throne is an easy 5 Stars. The prices are a little on the competitive side but if you're going to spend $20 in a cut, the extra $5 isn't going to hurt. Great story behind these guys, and it's good to know that you're helping out this team with every cut. I am in the military and I have been through many barbers across Canada. I was recently posted near Toronto and was looking for a place to get a good haircut. From reading online reviews I decided to take a visit to Throne. Great atmosphere, friendly people, and happy customers as I observed while I was waiting. I ended up getting a haircut from Charles and I must say he is the best barber I have been too and I have been through at least a dozen barbers across Canada. The best barbershop in Toronto hand down! I always get cut by Tim, he always greats me as soon as walk-in along with all the other co-workers. I never wait long to get into the chair and they always hook you up with that Fiji water while you wait. Tim will go over exactly what you want before he starts to cut, he always asks if what he is doing during the cut is what you wanted, and the conversation is always light-hearted and fun. Been getting my hair cut with Josh for quite sometime now. Def one of the best barber I've had. This guy knows his work and def will crown you with confidence! I've recommended over a handful of people to him, and no one has ever complained. He specializes in more of the hip cuts, but will do what he can to accommodate. Price is average.
