I just received an email from them, below in quotes, is their response: "No visit was scheduled as the barn network suggested issues, which were validated by your actions. All barn owners openly exchange details and communicate short tempered impatience owners like this to avoid the dramatic impact this lack of maturity can have. " My response is: 1) sending a personal note like this to my personal email is very unprofessional and may be considered bad conduct by a business owner using the internet to bully a potential client. 2) no visit was scheduled, that was the point of my original review, I couldn't get an appointment through the methods given through their business internet site. 3) If I ever get another email by this business again, I will be filing with The Attorney General's Office of North Carolina.

I am not sure if they still have the same issues now, but of course, in any case you should do your homework before choosing a stable. To be fair, we were there when the current owner was still fairly new to the ownership of PEC, so some of the issues may have been transitional. However, the main issue that bothered me and why we left had to with allegations of improper care/feeding of the horses. Even though the new owner is/was a Veterinarian, there were major conflicts between the trainers and the owner about that issue. I recently checked out their website and since the time we were there, they have torn down the old barn and built a new & improved facility. They are also now hosting the UNCC Equestrian team. Hopefully, the other issues have been resolved as well.

Drop-off and pick-up are incredibly organized, quick, and easy, which makes a huge difference. Coach Conroy has been wonderful, introducing the kids to a variety of sports while keeping a great focus on teamwork and sportsmanship. They even got some fun swag from local sponsors, and I really love that community-first aspect of supporting the kids through play. ​The best part of the week was seeing my son discover a real love for basketball. He is already asking how he can play more and dive deeper into the sport. We are very pleased with the experience, would absolutely do this camp again, and highly recommend it!
