DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. I had my wedding last weekend and this company was supposed to cater and bartend. Well, first they showed up 2 hours late. We had agreed on them showing up between 1-2 pm and they showed up at 3, 30 mins before my wedding started. Then we were supposed to have a hot chocolate and apple cider bar (that we paid for) and they only brought hot chocolate. In our contract they were supposed to provide coffee pumps and did not bring them. Instead we had to resort to using the venues (thank goodness they had some). They refused to set up the hot chocolate bar that we paid for them to do, they handed the hot chocolate to my coordinator and made her do it. Second the menu we had agreed on was wrong. We were supposed to have chicken as one of our entrees and they did not bring any, only steak. This resulted in the venue coordinator running to foodlion to go get some so they wouldn't run out of food for the guests. The sides we ate were not of the quality that we had at the tasting. Seemed like they went to Walmart and got frozen sides and made them right before. Third, we paid for there to be desserts and they only brought one of the three we paid for. Then they put the one dessert they brought out with the appetizers so it was gone before it could be put on the dessert table. This resulted in the venue coordinator going to foodlion to get desserts so something could be put on the table. Fourth, the bartender refused to put the beer on ice so it was warm while being served. My coordinator had to tell him multiple times to put it on ice and he finally did so right before cocktail hour. I made multiple signs for the menus to be placed with the food and we were only able to use one because everything was wrong. They only send 2 employees for a 125 people wedding. Over all the professionalism of this company is subpar at best. We have pictures of everything and receipts from when the coordinator had to pay out of pocket to fix their mistake. Before the wedding, their office manager was emailing me back very fast to confirm the menu, set up times, and to make sure they had all of the information correct. Now they will not email me back and I have only heard from them once regarding the issue. I was trying to talk directly to the owner and the office manager was the only one to respond to me. She said "she is trying to resolve the issue"... there is nothing to resolve the wedding already happened. We just want our money back. Paid way too much for this TERRIBLE service. Horrible Vendor to work with If you're looking for someone who doesn't respond to your emails/calls within a timely manner or who does not do as you discussed previously at your wedding (serving guests/passing appetizers) then this is your vendor. I want to thank everyone at Thyme2Cater for making my wedding reception fantastic. My wedding was cancelled at the beach due to Hurricane Dorian the Monday before the wedding. I found a venue at Greensboro National Golf Club and then had to find a caterer. I spoke to some friends that recommended Thyme2Cater. I called them on that Tuesday and the next morning they met me at the venue with a couple appertizers so we could see how they tasted. They were fantastic tasting. We went ahead and asked them to do the wedding and thank goodness we did. We did not have to worry about any caterer problems after that since they took care of everything. They got us the linens and some tables to make sure the venue looked great. Saturday they were prompt at the wedding and had a great staff to take care of us. We did not want for anything. They made sure the bride and myself were having a good time and also made us plates so we did not have to worry about not getting anything to eat. If you ever need anyone to cater for you please use them. They were easy to deal with along with a decent price also. They knew we were under the gun and could have overpriced everything but they didn't do this at all. They worked great with the venue and hopefully they can work together again soon doing other events out there. Just a fantastic experience. read more

This company is one of the most disorganized, dishonest, and untalented companies I've ever used. They recently catered a wedding event for us. They hosted the rehearsal dinner at their event venue space the night before the wedding. The space it self is okay (nothing special) but when we arrived we found that it had no A/C. As soon as you walked in you were hit with a burst of hot air. The owner believed he had a cheap fix to providing A/C by using a window unit air conditioner wedged in the door that guest tripped over countless times. This of course did not fix the solution and I was sweating the entire time in the miserably hot venue. The food that night was okay but they also catered the actual wedding the next morning. When they arrived with the food then, not only was it cold, but it was under cooked. This was a morning wedding and they supplied french toast casserole. If you can call it that, it was basically wet eggs on cold toast. The rest of the breakfast was mediocre but mostly cold and they ran out of food very fast. I checked the recent reviews and it appears this company is going down hill fast. They not only have issues with the food but they also a huge lack of organization and honesty. After all concerns were brought to the owner he did not seem to care and refused to make it right. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

The staff at Thyme 2 Cater are amazing and so friendly and do way more than just your food and beverage. I had such high hopes for this company. The tasting was fantastic but the service and delivery was horrible. Andy over promises but does not deliver. The rehearsal night they ran out of food and our guest had to wait over 30 minutes for a make shift meal. What they brought back was not what we served originally or what we paid for. We paid for 110 people and only 86 people were there. Andy tried to say they prepared for 150 people and the problem was OUR guest fixed their own plates. The reception food was great but cold. They threw away full plates of food from a table when people stepped away to get a drink or change a child. We paid for extra bartenders and they were suppose to stay until midnight. They left almost 2 hours before. Our family members had to step in and man the bar. The "bartenders" did not know how to make a screwdriver or a 7&7!!! They were using Google to figure out how to make drinks. We had missing alcohol (they even took the grooms parents credit card and purchased almost $300 more for bar the night of the wedding just in case we ran out) We had cases on top of cases of beer, wine, liquor, mixers etc. for the night. An large transport cooler was brought in for extra ice and it went missing. Andy manned one of the bars and got inebriated himself. If it wasn't for Amy stepping in prior to the wedding to manage invoices, payments and getting in touch with us I don't know what would have happened. Andy with Thyme 2 Cater and all his staff were beyond amazing! They catered our wedding and so many guests inquired about who catered. When we were originally searching for a caterer, we tasted with Thyme 2 Cater and another catering company. The alternative catering company allowed us only one tasting, and limited the food we were able to taste. It made it very difficult to get a good idea of what we would be enjoying on our wedding day. With Thyme 2 Cater, we were not limited with how many items we could choose to taste, and at our tasting they made us full servings, and sent us home with leftovers to eat for dinners all week! They even allowed us to come back and have a second tasting, which was actually incredibly helpful and helped us solidify our menu for our wedding. For those of you who have planned a wedding, you know that guests can sometimes go back and forth with their RSVP's and sometimes you could be adding more plates to be on the safe side for wishy washy guests. Andy with Thyme 2 Cater worked so well with us no matter what stressful situation arose, and went ABOVE AND BEYOND what we paid for and did so much more for us than what was on our invoice. He was extremely patient with me as the bride, and every time we met with him, he offered helpful wedding advice, and his positive and calm attitude allowed us to feel confident about our wedding. I HIGHLY recommend Thyme 2 Cater for any of your catering needs. They are so incredibly professional and talented. They know food and catering and the restaurant business, and they do it so well. read more
