Awesome event! We really enjoyed this event, even though it was absolutely freezing. It's a bit of a drive if you live in the Gilbert area, but it's a wonderful exhibit for families, friends, and even date nights if you're into lights and scenic walks. Just be sure to wear very warm clothing and comfortable shoes because once you start walking... there's no turning back and it takes a good 1.5hrs to get through it all. lol. For me, after about 15min I was ready to go but not to discredit the event. I didn't come in warm and comfortable clothing, having arriving right after work and at the last minute deciding to go. Parking is $15, and the crew was very friendly. Kim, one of the parking attendants, was especially amazing--she deserves a raise and should definitely return next year. The ticket booth attendant with blue hair was also super polite and kind. I especially want to highlight the entry staff--Sharon, Maribel, and Andrew. They were a total hoot and truly made the entry experience fun. I even spent time chatting with them and learned a lot about what goes into this fantastic setup. I was also able to bless a family with tickets (don't worry about how ). Be a blessing to others this season Overall, this was a great way to get exercise while enjoying the view. read more

My 9 year old and I were all smiles the whole walk through. Between the bright dazzling lights, intricate designs, and interactive fixtures we were completely enthralled by it all. It's divided into four areas: bugs, holidays, ra8nforest, and prehistoric. Everything moves and each interactive piece had us laughing. We went through in under 90 minutes as we were a bit rushed to get somewhere after, but could have spent much longer. The installation runs until January 4th. Pro tips: arrive just before opening for closer parking. Use restrooms at the entrance (port-a-potties) as the next ones are halfway through (not port-a-potty). Parking is an additional $15, but pay for parking online ahead of time to save a few bucks. Allow for longer and take your time to enjoy every interaction and photo op. read more

We have been to this event the last two years and it's been amazing each time! It's fun and different and so cute. The tickets are not bad, I think $20. It's very confusing that the parking is $25, because the car isn't going through the lights. The parking lot is also huge, so I don't understand why they need extra money for parking. The walk-through style is really fun, especially for kids, and there are plenty of interactive things to touch, as well as as many places to take pictures. My sister lives behind the bar, so we walked, and it was only a 10 minute walk or so. We will definitely return next year! About halfway through the walking tour, there is also a section for shopping, and I think food, but I don't remember because we didn't actually walk over there. read more

Beautiful and meaningfully designed light experience. On a cool Arizona night, a great date or fun family activity. The nylon lanterns are beautifully sculpted and detailed. What a bright and awesome family-friendly event to experience after dark! We purchased tickets and parking online, which saved us a few bucks. The lights festival is located in the pathway between the Camelback Ranch baseball stadiums. Such great usage of the trail, which runs about one mile long and is paved and very accessible. This year there are four themed zones: Bugs Aglow, Color of Holidays, Rainforest, and Prehistoric Animals. There are lanterns high and low, on the water and intertwined between the bushes and trees. There are tons of displays and interactive elements for the kids and us childlike adults too! Halfway through, there is a food court -- I just wished they had more Asian-inspired foods and gifts booths. It took us about one hour to complete, but we didn't want it to end! I have been to a few other luminous festivals, but this one by far knocks it out of the park. I heard they do add some new installations every year, so this is definitely not a one-time thing! read more

We came here around 8 pm on a Saturday night. If you are just walking through, 45 min is enough time. If you're going slow and taking pictures, you probably want 2 hours for the whole thing. There was still parking and it was easy to get to. Tickets are cheaper online, so buy them ahead of time! There were many areas throughout the festival where you can interact with the displays - this was great and so enjoyable. You can also stop by the concession to get food and drinks! This was a really cool light festival. All of the light exhibits were phenomenal. I appreciated the oversized displays and their brightness. This one mile walk along the lit path was very impressive and magical. Best artistic display and my favorite was the peacock with the mobile spreading of the feathers. My next favorite was the dragon on the lake. Parking is plenty and a few dollars less to pay online than upon arrival. I'm really happy I decided to visit on a weekday. What a great festival! I attended with my family, who visited me Thanksgiving weekend. They are from the East Coast, so I wanted to take them to some cool spots in town. They enjoyed the event! This festival had some breathtaking light art installation. They're organized into 4 sections: Bugs Aglow, Color of Holidays, Rainforest, and Prehistoric Animals. It's about 1-2 hours to get through it. This is a kid-friendly event as there are some interactive activities, which I saw many adults enjoying. What a fun activity in Glendale! Perfect for a date night or family time or a stroll with friends. The lights are so cute and I love that there are interactive things to do. They have some good and drink options. The path itself it's on gravel for most of it so keep that in mind if you have a walker or stroller. The walk is about a mile and we were there for a little over an hour to go thru everything. Would def do this again in the future! read more

The light festival was amazing. It was gorgeous and the staff were so friendly and helpful. There was plenty to see and a lot of interactive things to do. There is an area where you can scream into a mic and the water will shoot out by a dragon, swings and bubbles and a game of telephone. There are plenty of photo opportunities and evening a piano you can walk on. It's definitely fun for all ages. There is a concessions stand as well prices range from about $5 to 25 depending on what you get there. We purchased to hot chocolates ($8.00 each) and a pretzel with cheese sauce. We had a time slot for 7pm and stayed until closing. Overall if you are in Arizona you should definitely do this. read more

I failed to do my proper research before going after seeing the advertisement online. Being single cost me $50 for a half-hour self-paced walk, $15 for parking, and $35 for the ticket. Each of these prices is slightly reduced if you purchase online beforehand. The lights in the displays were beautiful, but I don't believe they were worth the cost. This event definitely is not for people on a strict budget. Tickets for children are $18 apiece, and adults are $35. Food is available for purchase midway through. read more

We had so much fun at the light festival. All the different light exhibits were so pretty and I was surprised at how interactive it was! I read somewhere that it will be back next year with all new exhibits so we will definitely go again. This is an expensive night out though. I think it was $25 per person if you paid online in advance. My one thing that is just a thing these days is the cost of parking! It was like $20 if you prepaid online or $25 if you paid night of. I luckily live right behind camelback ranch, so we walked. But that would have been a no for me. My car is not entering the exhibit to see the lights, so why does it have to pay almost as much to sit there for an hour?! read more

GO HERE IMMEDIATELY!! Tianyu Lights Festival was an absolute blast and so gorgeous. Perfect for families with kids as well as date nights. I went here on a triple date (all of us are in our 20's) and it was about 1-1.5 hours worth of lights and interactive displays to walk through. There was a photo op at literally every step of the way, and the BEST PART?? Not as crowded as I would expect. Even for a Saturday night! They have a gift shop as well as concessions with hot cocoa, hot dogs, pretzels, etc. This place seems like it's picking up more traction, so I'd buy tickets soon! Tip: make sure to add on the $10 parking while buying tickets online bc I couldn't figure out how to purchase it after already buying tix. We ended up paying $15 at the door. read more

It was so beautiful! For around $25/each me and my man had the loveliest walk through Tianyu Lights Festival. Lots and lots of great photo opportunities. I don't know how it is on the weekends, but we went on a weekday night and there wasn't too many people there - it was nice and serene! I have never in my life been to anything like this! I was absolutely in awe. From the beginning to the end, it did not disappoint. There were so many attractions to see that my phone storage is full of great memories. You have interactive games, step and spin activities and a lot of fun for all ages. During our visit, we were able to see Fresno on the "FaceTime" like screen and were able to say hello. All the displays are themed filled and we learned they were handcrafted as well. You have people sitting at different parts of the attractions to make sure you didn't miss anything. We almost missed the "kiddy area." I had another family member and my grandson with me and we have been talking about it nonstop. The walking path is friendly for all people because it is paved. I had purchased a parking pass online so they scanned it pretty quick. I chose the 6p time and it took us about 1.5 hours. Also make sure you visit the FAQ to see what types of purses/bags can be bought in. They will check at the beginning as well. This event was amazing. We had never been to this area before but it is where the dodgers and white Sox have their spring training. The festival wraps around the ponds with lights on both sides of the path. I was with my 6 and 11 year old and both of them had a blast with all the interactive things that they had all around. Everywhere you turned there was something to experience and play with and run around with and it was just an amazing time. We've been to other light festivals in Phoenix and this is definitely our favorite totally worth the money such a great time. read more

What a fun experience! My partner and I went for a date night without the kids (whoops) and literally were like "WHOA" the moment we walked through the entrance. This is so well done. There are quite a few different themes walking alone the mile long path around the pond. Oh, the pond, it ALSO has cool stuff in it! Lots of little interactive things for adults and kids alike to do in order to stay engaged. Kids around us were squealing with excitement at each turn. Older folks equally excited about how cool things were. It might seem pricey, but I would pay it again. It's not like a normal light display. *Note* the entrance has porta-potties.
