Today, I received a call from the manager, stating that I must pay an additional $200 due to their error. I would have been fine with this adjustment, but at the time of my purchase, there were several similar bundles available at Canada Computers and NewEgg. Note that this would have been illegal in Quebec under their consumer protection laws. I ran diagnostics and found out the memory is damaged. The worst part is that this model has the memory soldered directly onto the motherboard, meaning it cannot be easily replaced. In practical terms, the laptop is basically useless. When I confronted the owner, his response was that unfortunately for me, the laptop had reached the end of its life. That is not an acceptable answer after selling something as "refurbished." From my experience, this business appears to be selling old laptops that should probably be recycled, reinstalling an operating system, and presenting them as refurbished machines. In my opinion, the owner, Farshid, is not an honest businessman. I feel completely misled and ripped off. Do not waste your money here. Do not trust this business.
